About a year ago, I searched online for a proper mounting system for an extra gas can. I use the Wavian mount for multi day camp trips, as a back-up or emergency supply. The mount stays in the bed/shell all the time, but the gas can is stored in my garage except for camping or off road trips. That being said, I have found that the Wavian gas can is vapor free, while in the shell, which is important because I sleep inside while camping.
I’ve had it mounted for about a year, and have done several trips with no issues whatsoever. 27D580AC-009F-496B-812B-67B61048B018.jpg966BA5C4-A8D9-4EB8-9AA1-8C8190BEF4AC.jpg 57E6B708-3F4D-4727-A508-BACA617852CF.jpg

Unfortunately the bed is just a little short to mount it upright if you have a hard tonneau cover. I added D-rings about half way up the wheel wells near the front. So lay it in the side and strap it to those with a bungee to keep it between the 2x6s. No leaks from the Wavian can.

Side note here is my quick mod to make the standard carb spout free flowing. I still use the original nozzle since there is not much advantage after this mod to get the extra non-carb flexible nozzle.
