Gay's in the Military, What the troops think about Civilians making that decision.

if your gay then your gay.. i could careless.. doesn't mean you special.. just do you job and don't run around flaunting that your gay.

 

I didnt realize we had reinstated the draft, wow no wonder you guys are pissed being forced to join the service with all those queers and all.

As far as immature frat punks well those are your words not mine but seems pretty accurate from some of the descriptions we have gotten in this thread, and as to the pay issue well again nobody forced you, you signed up.

 

You signed that contract of your own free will, so stop crying about it. Do your time try your hand at civilian work, its tough all over bud.

 

I think you may be on to something, maybe some of these guys are overcompensating for some "issues" they have been struggling with.

 

So you choose to be straight, so that leaves the "back door open" so to say for you to change your mind right.

I was born straight I am attracted to women and all the foxhole cuddlin in the world couldn't change that.

So I accept that gay people are born that way, I don't look down on them because they were made differently than me, it doesn't bother me who gets them off because I will still be me.

I don't really see what the big deal is. Being gay means they like dudes. Sexually. Romantically. They like it IN THE BEDROOM. What do I care when it comes to doing a job?

If they can shoot people, and do their job, I don't care if they'd rather make out with another guy.

As long as they're willing to protect and serve, and do it just as well as the other people there, I don't give a damn about their sexual preference. It doesn't concern me.

And if you're (I don't remember who, but I think it was on page one of this thread) saying that all the supposedly "straight" guys are doing tons of gay stuff, like tea-bagging, and whatever the hell else they do, grabbing each other, etc., then maybe they should re-evaluate their actions before going around hating others for being gay.

2. I'm not whining about pay, im pointing out how cheap taxpayers get a job done. Have you seen the pay for contractors? You are getting good value for your tax dollars IMO.

3. My comment on contract length and stop-loss was im response to your comment that you can simply leave the military if you don't like it. Perhaps my wording was poor. I intended to point out that having to wait 3-6 years to leave is vastly different from a 2 week notice in most civilian jobs.

4. Once again you stoop to an ad hominem argument. Understand that that makes your argument weaker not stronger.

 

I know what you mean,me to every Sunday till I was too big to drag there, not bashing religion as a whole people need faith, my church was a bunch of hypocrites who talked the talk on Sunday but did whatever the other 6 days a week.
