I need to haul 2660 lbs. of landscaping pavers. I have a small single axle trailer, the load capacity of the trailer is 1700 lbs. That leaves 960lbs to put in the truck bed. I am trying to figure out the max combined weight I can tow and haul in my truck. I have a 06 extended cab v6 4WD. I can’t find what the GCVWR is for my truck.

    Thanks for any help.

It's usually in the door stickers.

I looked. It had the GVWR and the GAWR. Didn't see GCVWR.

    Its in the owners manual.

If you dont have one, google 'toyota owners manual downloads'. You should be able to select your year/model and get a pdf free.

    Its a legit Toyota site

    Thanks Bill,

I have the OM. The Max vehicle weight people plus cargo is 1300lbs. Max towing is 6500. Is the GCVWR then 1330 + 6500 = 7830lbs?

Gcvwr -curb -payload = tow. Gross combined vehicle weight rating dending on your truck is around 12k. They don't care how the vehicle is loaded for that number, it's just the max the entire rig can weigh.

As long as you don't exceed 1300 in the truck itself or 6500 on the trailer you're in spec for the important stuff.

Gcvwr us not really that useful of a number for day to day life since you can easily overload and still be in spec. Load 7800 in your bed and youre both massively overloaded and within gcvwr at the same time. Same thing if you have 7800 on your hitch.

Max towing is figured with the tow package, controller and wdh. Max payload is figured with all vehicle occupants. If you have 4 300 lb people in the cab you only have 100 lbs of cargo available.

What's on your door sticker is what you need as it is specific to your vehicle. The manual is more generic.

With your original post you have 340 lbs of occupants and cargo to play with assuming your curb is 4100lbs and gvwr is 5400.

The tongue weight of your trailer adds into the max payload
