Weather this weekend summed up in one photo:

    E935240F-E865-45C0-9B3D-D718D79D442A.jpg

Went to the lake house this weekend as anticipated. No pics. Lots of time in the water staying cool. Had to grab a few patches for my go bag to represent the pre-4th of July weekend:

    8D2A7D5E-C765-40F4-B167-AC4052D49AAD.jpg

Favorite comment: "you can't show that in public!! What would you say if someone had an issue with those patches?!" - my wife

Me: "I'd tell them to 'Suck a bag of dicks!'"

Have to remember to rock the full colored version of the SABOD pacth..

Today, the wife had family and friends come for haircuts. The couple that had the baby recently that was "unexpected" were over so that the mother in law could visit and see the baby. The mother asked when the wife and I are having kids and my wife's response was 'whenever you guys get married' haha my wife's a keeper!! Apparently she went on to tell my wife to talk to the father about proposing..such a weird thing to bring other people into.

I was NOT involved in this conversations and I'm glad I wasn't..I was outside working on my baby..the truck.

    Replacement Lux rock light install..done.

Bed lighting fixed. Last night when we got home, the lights on the cap stopped working randomly. Basically, fixing them turned into a rabbit hole and ended up taking much longer than anticipated. Roughly 3 hours later in the heat, everything is working as it should.

Once finished, I ran to harbor freight for a few things:

    DAB99DF5-E7A8-4CA4-BBD4-223FC6D0D651.jpg

Wire wheels are for the enevitable slider cleanup and the spot weld bits are for the TC Cam tab gusset install. I wanted to grab 3, but once I learned they were double sided, "4" should suffice. They should last for 6 spot welds each side at the very least. Angle grinder, cut off discs and flap disks should clean up anything the bits fail to do.

A buddy came by to get his haircut is also an electrician. Talked to him about rewiring the garage lighting and give the garage some love. This led to conversations about staying put and rebuilding the garage completely or do what we can and address all the things that should be done prior to selling. I think the ultimate decision was save, do what we can (within reason), and then packing up the shallow roots we have here and move out of the city.

Overall, good weekend. Very hot weekend. Looking forward to the short week ahead and then back at the lake house enjoying the property, and the fireworks show up there. Not sure how much longer it will be around. There might be some hope there, but it's looking bleek. Hope we can keep in the family for generations.

Not yet. Was supposed to go to a wife's friend's party tonight that we are no longer going to now. Weather is decent that I would consider giving it a go tonight perhaps. Will see and report back.

Got off work a little early today :woot:

Didn't get a chance to work on the axle shims this past weekend, BUT, maybe this weekend I hope to be installing 12" Kings with remote resis on the rear and will tackle the axle shims and Dakar bushings when everything is apart. That is if the weather cooperates and people are free, I might host a mini mod day as long as it isn't 107 asshole degrees outside. We will see. Looking like it will be Sunday for the mod day but it's supposed to be 90+.

Got the new antenna installed; super exciting, I know:

No loss in reception or anything looks clean too.

Also, I want to play a game :anonymous:

    3" lift? A.R.E cap 285/70/17 moto metal 955 17x9

Next time you go to Wilmont, take a walk down to the pits and talk to a few guys and see who they use.
The guy up the street from me used to do them but he passed away some years ago.
I know there is someone around that does it, don't know who. (been out of the loop to long)

There has to be at least one in the chicagoland area, I would start asking around the bike shops especially the ones that are into the race scene, if they don't do it they should know who does.

or call the manufacturer and see if they have someone local that they recommend.

Thanks man. I reached out to a thread here and a couple FB pages. The price is decent, but if the price of the coilovers and a rebuild comes out to the same or close to the same price as a new pair, it's just not worth it. Problem is, a majority of people around here try to take advantage of others. Shitty really.

Just gotta figure out the maths.

Well, thanks to @boogie3478 and my morning ritual of watching Youtube videos over breakfast, I spent some more money today:

    https://youtu.be/XO5d4MqZu5I

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...gen-tacoma-today.6499/page-7998#post-18253636

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/361145449449

I am all about the preventative maintenance (hence a snorkel) and this seemed like a no brainer; $15 or $2k in repairs?? o_Oo_O

Luckily, I got a new Macbook this weekend and needed some dongles/adapters for this USB-C crap.

Once again, I planned on doing the axle shims and Dakar bushings this weekend, again, I know, I know, but it was way too hot Friday afternoon and even hotter on Sunday with spotty rain showers. I know some of you are anxious to hear back about this and I will try to get this done ASAP. Strides have been made to get it done as my brother @GARSHA91 loaned me his 4" C-clamps to make swapping the center pin a breeze.

Perhaps I will shoot for Friday evening as we have plans to head up to the lake house Saturday to Sunday to be with my father in law's side of the family. If anything, I know I will be bored and perhaps can knock it out at the lake house.

Sorry for the delay..especially @HIghlande2 1000 apologies

This is starting to take longer than your bumper did. :crapstorm:

    Just kidding Man!

I know what you mean about the heat. It's been a long month for me here between a death in the family, the wife's family coming to stay with us, work, and taking my wife's little sister for college orientation. This past weekeend I finally had a company free house I didn't do a damn thing. Hell I tried to not even get dressed. Lol
