I think that first drawer is like the cliffs notes for like 10 of my drawers. Hammers, cutting implements, screw drivers, tapes, pliers dykes channel locks, scrapping tools, metal working(deburring), air fittings, air tool attachments, and files. I have problems, good problems.

Excuse my ignorance as I HATE electrical work.

I have this piece that came with the SDHQ kit:

    72A50C13-7A6C-4019-A7F7-1562E1620427.jpg

To install, do I cut the stock negative terminal wire, shove the exposed wire into the piece on the right and then screw in that piece to the piece on the left and heatshrink?

    C3A42DCD-87F2-41C4-A587-3F0E6AF67C0F.jpg

Then, I also ordered the ground to body cable from SDHQ. Since the stock battery ground to body cable will be cut with the engine harness ground, I can just replace that, too (straight forward; even for me)?

    I HATE electrical.....

Yep that’s exactly what I did. The first piece is just a giant crimp pretty much. You can tighten it all the way down so there’s no threads left.

    Any special tools?

I wasn't sure if my generic (wire) strippers and tools would work.

Nope. I used some dikes to cut it and then a razor blade to strip back the cover a little bit.

    Thanks bae. I appreciate it.

I definitely don't mind giving it a try. I just kind of ran out of time yesterday. I just feel like there's always some whenever I do something too.

Welp, got into the truck after work to head to the gym and the battery light is on.

I noticed the stock inverter light switch was on too. Might have been accidentally bumped yesterday working on it. Truck fires up and runs fine. Going to bust out the multimeter later and do some spelunking...

    "Why is it always me"...

Hopefully it’s something simple like a loose connection

I did that fuse swap yesterday that I mentioned too. Perhaps just switch the fuse around?

That’s a good thing to try too. I’d swap back in the normal fuse as a troubleshooting thing

    UPDATE

Beyond relieved that it was a simple fix. It was the fuse. Lesson here; never ever ever assume that same gen trucks are the exact same. My brother did the fuse too and didn't trim. Mine was not sitting right hence the light. I trimmed the fuse, reinserted and BOOM. No dash lights

    F7EFB8ED-5EB0-4B83-95BA-8AC90D47ACE2.jpg

Since I was already out there, swapped out the stock negative terminal and ground. Just fucking sent it..

    Beyond stoked and relieved.

Very nice sir. Was toying with that idea on the 240 but still on springs and Bilstein HD's for now. It's budget friendly.

My buddy got some BC's for his Rex. I've seen them in videos on YouTube, but never in person. Nice stuff
