Absolutely. I have watched them all. Amazing what triggers people these days.

Loved that series. It is hilarious that he put the parts in jars and is selling them.

EDIT: did not realize that they were sold out. LMFAO.

I noticed that today. I did not check his site after watching the video yesterday. Absolutely hilarious.

    Got the LCA skids reinstalled.

Apparently, these "OEM replacement" lower control arms are slightly different than the stock ones. The hole below the CV has a different diameter hole than the others/stock LCAs. Couldn't really use the "original" hardware for reference or to install...

    CCBB9EE5-C69A-40F5-8503-C890ADAA644E.jpg

For the sake of arguing, we will say it is definitely a smaller diameter.

About to jump on Fastenal and order some stainless 1/4" hardware (the others are 3/8").

@T.Barn mentioned the transformation of the skids in the 2nd gen thread...

Thought it would be cool to show a before and after of them as well as the progress of the front end rebuild up til now:

I found that spreader bar thing to be more trouble than it’s worth for these small diameter coils on our trucks. I tried it on one and it didn’t seem like it did anything so I stopped using it.

Also, might have a lead on some 4XInnovations bolt on sliders locally...

    Might attempt the following tomorrow:

    - cabin air filter
    - engine air filter
    - test the new spring compressor kit and swap out the new top hats on the OME shocks

    Few things done tonight:

    - cabin air filter replaced

    - glovebox cleaned out and reorganized

    - vacuumed out the truck a bit

    - cleaned all the windows and resealed the windshield with Adam's glass sealant

Did anyone notice that All-poo has a cam tab gusset kit now? Seems to compare to the Total Chaos kit to the 'T' and slightly cheaper than the TC kit:

    https://www.polyperformance.com/tot...-4runner-10-gx-460-16-tacoma-10-14-fj-cruiser

Hope to get some more work done throughout the week. Engine air filter, slee offroad ARB mounting bracket and maybe even replacing the stew tubing from Amazon for the stock intake pipe (needs some modifications..)

For an extra $15, I would get the total chaos ones. Support the original designer and an American company who makes cool shit, vs all poo who sells garbage.

    https://www.bpfabricating.com/products/total-chaos-weld-on-lower-control-arm-cam-tab-gussets

All Pro clearly ripped off TC, which is fucked up, to begin with. Then who's to say that the fitment is as good as TC? I've installed a handful of the TC ones and their tolerances are all spot on. Just my unsolicited .02

I use the griots interior cleaner religiously and I really like it. Gets everything nice and clean without leaving a greasy shiny residue when I'm done. They make good stuff.

That's what I was getting at.

When I had my first TC kit (never opened and never installed) I purchased them from Wheeler's. When I went there over the weekend, I noticed they no longer have the TC kit available and it has been replaced with the All-poo kit.

It's interesting that logic doesn't apply for other things on here; like that Martin offroad roof rack. Still waiting for my free roof rack from the "owner" to compare the two so I can take back all the shit I talked about it that it's a blatant copy...

    Maybe some day...

Excited to try it. A few of the YouTubers I watch have their products (it should be obvious who I watch lol)

After cleaning up a bit yesterday, I'm going to grab some of the interior cleaner also.

Have to pull the "custom" snorkel piping apart. I thought I was going to be able to swap the stock piping back in for a "cleaner" look but I might just leave it alone.

While I'm in there, the Slee bracket should be easy to swap in also.

I'll do the intake screen mod too since I'll already be elbow deep in the engine bay.

Hoping to run to the stores during the week and have everything in hand ready to go for the weekend.
