That "custom" setup that I totally copied is kind of a PITA to get to the filter now. I bought a factory intake tube, and think I'm gonna mod it to work with the hilux snorkel like the Cruiser Outfitters instructions showed in the first place.

Installed the bumper and swingout a little over 3 years ago. Never had a cotter pin in the pivot bolt. Hopefully this helps with the nut becoming loose..

    AB9A93CA-31FD-4CE2-A7E5-9DA93A3EDDF9.jpg

Removed the set screw, cleaned it and put anti-seize on it and greased her up.

Did the best I could to get them cleaned up, sanded and resprayed. Definitely not the same as removing bolts-ons and spending time really cleaning them up the right way, but whatever..

Gonna get some por15 for the winter to seal them up.

    Happy that's done :bananadead:

Just got a shipping update for these TODAY.

Totally forgot about it but that's not a surprise since it was a month since placing the order. Hoping to find a date for a mod day soon.

Still doesn't help when it's 107 asshole degrees out...

    Fuck this heat.

Yeah I know. Fucked that one up. Luckily it's not a life or death situation. Honestly, did not even receive a tracking number for this package that showed up today. Man in brown kinda just appeared..

5k pounds of stone and roughly 2 yards of top soil later. Some sod and a fence for the pup and it's done.

Finally have everything for the knuckles l swap. If the weather is shit tomorrow, plan is to finally work on prepping those and the Slee offroad compressor bracket.

Finishing up getting these painted up finally and then get them cleaned up and seat the seals sometime during the week. Plans changed for the day and this was the best "get some work done while addressing other issues away from home"..it happens.

Mod day in a few weeks; I think.

    1) knuckles and wheel bearings
    2) new splash guards
    3) then I can get the LUX rock lights installed; trucks wired up for them I just cut out the old shit last year/early this year

The front will be "finished" technically; I can install the taco tabs, but I still want to get the TC kit done. Might try to get them welded together and then see if I can have someone local or a shop just do it.

was just asking because I dont remove my calipers to replace pads.. Only when I replace the rotors, and then I put the caliper back on right away

I do the same, but putting my new powerstop pads on...holy hell, I needed every nanometer of clearance I could get to get them mofos in. Ended up using a prybar, but wish I had sprung for that Lang spreader before I started the job.
