These were $4 each. I wanted something a little more durable. I have a Daka for traveling. They are nice. Just pricey for a second tool set that's for the truck only.

The biggest difference between the two is that clazzios are covers whereas katsinz is a replacement. Clazzios slip on over whereas katzkinz you have to take off your cloth and replace it with leather. Based on what I've read the katskinz is basically going to fit like an OEM leather seat would but it costs more and more work for install. Clazzio is cheaper and easier but not as tight against the seat itself. I'd love to put katskinz in the tundra, I can get a set on ebay for about a grand.

I'm somewhat torn. It would be nice to have true leather seats but I guess it just comes down to time versus money.

I was going to look into some better or newer bolstering for the driver's seat. Haven't done much research on it yet.

@RyanL has katskinz I think, and they are very nice to sit on. 100% would buy them if I was gonna go leather.

I know that if I go katskinz, I'm probably going to go at least heated front seats.

I love my Katskinz! Top quality construction & fit, easy cleaning, and look great.

Heated is nice, I use that occasionally. But their "Degreez" cooled seat option is hands down one of my favorite things about my truck & I turn it on pretty much every time I get in my truck.

Meant to ask, did you do yours yourself or have them professionally done?

    100%!

They were professionally installed. My coworker ordered the Katzkins and installed them himself and said it wasn't too bad.

    @T.Barn more fishing content?

So I did a thing. Found a gift card hidden in the house and I have been trying to come up with a new configuration that can "do it all no matter what" without much hassle and I think I've found it (for me at least)

Lew's TP 6.8:1 (left) and Lew's speed spool 8:1 (right)

    09A3F326-B2D4-46EF-9C4E-B40632649319.jpg

Picked up some treble hooks for my surprise jerkbait that came with that carp shit show a few weeks ago:

    1272BC84-B22F-488D-BB18-2FAFAFB3F144.jpg

Here's the setup so far; I think I am gonna grab a cheap ugly stick from Amazon that's just waiting for me to click 'order':

    554A8EC8-7FAF-4631-BF33-D17B1A3CCA47.jpg

    - speed spool with 17lb fluorocarbon line on the defender rod
    - vengeance combo with 60lb braid (dedicated frog setup)
    - TP waiting for some new 20lb braid but was cleaned and oiled up

The Lew's reels will be swappable between the ugly stick and the defender. The ugly stick I picked out will be an all around rod but mostly for pitching and flipping. I learned yesterday that the vengeance combo doesn't like anything but braid. Since it's marketed as more of an inexpensive/beginner baitcaster combo, it makes sense why most casts, even with 17lb flourocarbon backlashes so easily.

I still have a spinning rod in the garage that will be for the gf anytime she wants or forgets hers. Might pick her up some pink line. It just has 10lb moss braid and a ned setup.

The to-be-ordered-soon ugly stick, defender and bass pro spinning rod combo are all 2 piece rods so they can be broken down and packed really easily; in the car or hiking etc. Love that.

    TL;DR.

    Fish nerd. :anonymous:

Awesome setup. I’ve been on a pretty big fishing kick lately too. That’s awesome that you get to share that with the girlfriend. My girlfriend is who recently just for me back into fishing actually.

Here’s my recent pickup. A penn squall. We have a lot of saltwater here too so I’ll be using this for those inshore striper.

Nice setup bro. I'm looking forward to our spring trip to Florida for some more saltwater fishing. This was this last April:

I got two, my girl got one and so did her dad. Needless to say, we at like kings and queens that night.

Starting off the week with some mods.

Got our scuba certification this weekend and while stopping for a celebratory lunch, I spotted this fellow enthusiast:

    BBA4CB53-3DFF-49FF-B94E-CB44C17051CA.jpg

Starting off with some dash/windshield seal:

    $14 Amazon >>> $35 gearwrench

Not sure why that happened after 1 round of routine maintenance and a tire rotation.

Hoping to tackle plugs in the next couple of weeks before October.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the windshield/dust seal?

At least for mine, it's dead center of the dash that rattles on mine. Though I haven't heard it since I wedged my license plate on the driver side with a rubber plate holder.
