I'm sure it's been said already but if you aren't planning on rock crawling or "beating on it" then a front diff locker will be a big waste of money. You're TRD OR is already well-equipped for what you want to use it for, front lockers are for hardcore wheeling.

I put lockers on both front and rear when I re-geared my 2016 Sport, and also installed an air compressor. I figured why not as they already had my diffs torn apart to install the gears...saved the labor if I wanted to have it done in the future...Why pay the labor twice, but if you dont need a front locker, or wont use it or plan on re-gearing, save your $$.

cant say i have ever had a IFS locker break. CV axles sure but never a locker.

for the OP, it really just depends on your end goals. front lockers are great to have when you need them. all the nanny shit works now, but who knows for how long. i like the idea of a manual locker that you can turn on with the flip of a switch.

misread that, I'm trying to figure out how the compressor was mounted.. is there a custom mounting plate under the hood or is it bolted directly on the (3) OEM studs

Slee off-road has a bracket for that location. Mine was made before that became available

Thank you! that's what I was looking for.. however not sure if I like it. Its a great design for trucks with the ABS module installed in that location, but mine doesn't have it. I feel it would be wasting some space under neath.

Need something more like a basket. The search continues.
