1st off, I'd like to defend myself by saying that I live in Las Vegas, own a pool service and need my Taco for work more than anything. I just recently got a smokin deal on an 08' Double Cab Long Bed. With that said, sadly, it's 4x2. The feedback I'm looking for is the following: Is it silly to lift my Taco and add 33" BF Goodrich All Terans Basically when it comes down to it, strickly for looks.

Be easy on me but I would like to know the experts opinions. BTW, I'm addicted to this sight, I'm already regretting not getting a 4x4 and it hasn't even arrived from the East Coast yet.

Don't feel bad for not having a 4x4. I didn't go for it because it was just more truck than I need. I don't go off road, rarely ever drive in the snow, and I just couldn't justify spending the extra money on something that'll rarely get used. It's your truck, dress it up how you like it.

Plus... you can always take off your mud flaps and with the pre-runner nobody'll know it's not 4-wheel drive.

I have a 2wd, 2.5" lift and 33s, and it looks great and does really well offroad. Especially where you live it will be fine offroad, 4wd excels in mud and wetness. A LOT of desert trucks are 2wd, so no it's not silly to lift a 2wd.

I don't understand why anyone concerns themselves with what other people think?
It's your truck! Do what you want.;)

Any negative comments you'd get? Would be from a "HATER" someone who is all "J" about what you have and they don't.

If I had a Lamborghini I'd probably never drive it at 150 mph. But I wouldn't feel bad about it!:D:D

I'm considering disabling my 4wd. I never use it. (Install 2wd hubs and remove the CV axles.)

As long as you're ok with the drawbacks of lift/larger tires, its your money.

Just understand you'll get worse mileage, lose some power, and raising the bed will make it more difficult to get stuff in and out, especially over the sides.
