    Redneck plasma cutter tricks.

I fully intend on building a true circle guide for my plasma cutter, but haven't gotten the time to yet. so when I needed to cut a circle last night, and didn't have the correct size hole saw, the inbred side of me got to work. two hose clamps, a few zip ties, and a small trim nail later, and perfect circles were possible. secure the nail where you need it for the proper radius of your circle. drill a hole in the center of your circle. stick the nail in the hole. pull the trigger. spin the torch. drink beer.

So glad I found this thread!

I'm ready to order my jd^2 model 3 tube bender. I'll be bending the usual 1.75 with .120 wall. my question is what radius Die did you guys go with and did you like the out come.

I'll be making sliders, rear and front bumper and only buying 1 die. I just want bends to compliment the 1st gen shape.

Also interested in purchasing a used one if there's any out there.

I generally get the smallest radius an a 180 die.

I do the same. My 1.75 is either a 4.5 or 5.5 clr. If you were bending thin tubing it would be different. And like @paranoid56 said make sure you get a 180* die

i used the 5.5 measurement below, the radius looks gouda

Yeah, 180 die was already the plan. If I'm guna spend some money I don't mind a little extra to do it right.

Did some measuring and cut a radius to represent the radii of the inner tube wall using the 5.5

Thanks mark, I'll pick one up. Probably the same as the cost of materials I would have if I made on......But now I don't have to make one. BTW,. The cut 50 you recommended to me a while ago is working out beautifly. Thanks you!
