Thanks for the offer man, I know I could find someone up in albuquerque, like whitecloud on here for example.

I think Im just gonna go with 1.5" tube though, the sliders will be hybrid style with 2" square anyway so the outer's being a little smaller won't affect the strength much.

if your just aiming for sliders i would say run the 1.5 anyways. run a .250 wall on that thing and go smash on them. they are sliders and meant to be abused. i really dont see the point in making it more difficult by attempting to locate a 1.75 die when you have access to the 1.5.

again the offer is out there, feel free to PM me if you guys need anythning and we will work something out. that offer goes to 90% of you out there (unless i dont like you, and you would know if i didnt, so you dont gotta ask hahaha)

never do them all by yourself. you always need a 3rd party view on your build. reason behind that is that so often we (the people building trucks with tons of work going into them) tend to get so focused on other factors we overlook small things. the 3rd party has the ability to look at your project in the now (by that i mean in its present state taking in all observations on the same plane and level). since you are truly the only one with the map of how you want it laid out in your head, its easy to forget little things... have a buddy around to help out.. you will both learn tons, and that buddy will be that 3rd party overview.

very good idea! and ill make a build for ideas as well. but this wont be for like 2 years lol.

i just want to build a truck from scratch doing it myself not having a shop do it. cause theres tons of things i would have done differently on my cage if i was the one doing it, cause now that it is caged i see the ups and downs of some things.

im down to help out man, but i dont have alot of free time right now. and i need to get my truck runnin.

well theres some things i asked him to do like make my seats as low as possible so my head is really far away from the cage, i regret that cause now i sit on a dam pillow and wish i was still a bit taller. i wish the top of the care by my head was closer to the roof, wish my a pillar tubes were like score rulebook says but that was my fault as well. the cage is good and will hold up to any roll that if be capable of doing in my truck, but i want this bitch to hold up after a 180mph crash if you know what i mean.

im in the market for a jd2 bender, I'm getting a 1.75in die, do i want it in 5.5 or 6.5 radius? I wish i could find more used, been looking for a year or so and only found 2 and they sold instantly so I'm sucking it up and buying a new one.

I'd probably go for the tighter radius. I've never found myself wishing for wider radius dies, only tighter.

I wish there was smaller dies for mine. That way I wouldn't have to go down in size of material.

Nope. It depends on the angle your going for. If it is a tight radius that you want and large tube. it would be better too. But if it is a larger radius then your good as long as you start at the farthest roller points and work in.
