Assuming you weld, cut that face out and weld the tube to the back for sure. Might want to get rid of that Fillet on the outter edge and change the ID and OD to a clean looking chamfer about .050" deep at the 45 degree. If you get that milled it will look more clean than doing a laser cut. You could make that part with a drill press too if you really want to go dyi.

What thickness, material, ID, OD, Bolt Circle, Bolt size are you looking for? If all you want is a flat piece to weld to I can bang you out a few on the waterjet no problemo

I'll redo it tonight when I get home, I have no idea how stuff works when you cut it, I was just playing around making a good visual  that makes sense though

Krish and Anthony were the ones that really wanted it. Bolt hole size kind of depends on how they want to mount it, I would think rivets would look good, maybe just very small holes for a pilot to drill whatever size they need. They said the ID needs to be 2.5" and I did the OD at 4". Material I would say something thin like 14-16g so you can bend it if needed and steel so it absorbs the heat going to the fender better than aluminum

Water jet is just a straight cut with no chamfer correct? If its only 14-16g I dont think any of it really needs a chamfer anyway

I think a rivet mount would be a good way to go as well. I suggest using stainless so there are not corrosion issues. The exhaust is likely Stainless as well. If the exhaust pipe is not stainless you would need to use stainless rod to weld it either way if the flange is stainless. The best bet would be to make a gasket to put between the flange and mounting surface to reduce heat and abrasion from vibration. Hi-temp silicone would be the hot ticket (no pun). Let me know what you would like to do, I have a shit ton of stainless here or steel if you prefer, hi-temp silicone is cheap and readialy available.

That design is possible to be one piece. Most people would stamp that part and then drill the hills, but that is only if you are doing high quantities to be cost effective. For waterjet you can get pretty creative on the flange. It looks like you are using solidworks. Maybe do an oval cutout, but have different diameter at each end of the oval. This flange below is a little overkill, but you get the concept. Where you going to mount this flange? before or after the rear wheel. Instead of rivets you could do socket cap screws that have washers and nuts behind them or thread into another flange inside the bedside.

Damn! do you contract space at a machine shop? I don't see you using much of those for Toyota stuff.

My primary job is defense and aerospace manufacturing, I manage a 70 man shop. I started Pelfreybilt as a side thing that I do. I do most of the work myself or lean on the shop when needed. I gives me something more to do than sitting behind a desk and dealing with customers all the time, keeps my mind fresh.

It certainly is, I feel very blessed to be in the position that I am in. Not that 20 years of hard work doesnt have anything to do with it but I am very grateful that things have fallen into place like they have.

Quick question. Trying to figure out tube bender options. Between two projects I want to do, I have a total of 8-10 bends. That's all, and I don't see doing anymore than that for the foreseeable future.

Will a HF bender like this work? Or are they pure shit and I should just go with a JD2 and resell it when I'm done? I'm not really interested in building one of those benders from some plans. Looks like more work making that than my other projects combined haha
