fuel cell plumbing with stock pickup/level:

i will update this with pictures as soon as i can get into my garage and into the corner where my cell is to help give you guys a better understanding.

best way to start is obviously remove the metal lid that protects your plastic bladder inside the can. remove your stock sender from the stock tank. there will be a rubber seal under it that should be close to the form that you will need to cut out of the top of the cell. use that seal to trace the shape of the hole you will need to cut (you can also mark the holes where the screws will need to go through but i dont reccommend it). cut out the major inner hole (make sure it is the inner one... dont trace the outer edges of the seal and cut or you WILL FUCK YOUR CELL UP!).
you should be able to maneuver the pickup into the hole you just cut now.... once you have it in, now trace the bolt holes through the holes in the metal plate (top of stock sender) and drill out. i had to cut and extend my float as it wouldnt reach the bottom of my tank. you guys will need to figure that out on your own.. also you will need to figure a way to make the fuel pump pick up at the bottom of the cell (mine was about 4 inches from bottom).
now you will need to figure out on the lid of your can where you will need to cut out the appropriate holes so that when you put the lid on, all plumbing will be coming out of lid without kinks. im hardline plumbing mine back to the stock lines, but there are other ways to go about it as well. any questions feel free to ask and i will assist you as best i can.

BE SURE TO CLEAN OUT ALL THE PLASTIC FROM THE INSIDE OF YOUR CELL WITH A SHOP VAC.

EDIT: SEE PICTURES... THERE IS HOW I DID MINE.

This cell has no foam or internal rubber bladder, correct? If it does you run into the joys of getting all that stuff to work with the nut ring that seals the bladder and all that other good stuff. You'll also cut away foam as needed to allow the float to move without interference.

    this should be.... interesting.....

my cell has a plastic bladder.. so you cut them both accordingly, then bolt it down like this.... bolt, outside of fuel cell, plastic bladder, nut. right? i really dont want to mess this up lol

Mine has a custom rubber bladder. The stock pump/sending unit is sandwiched in a custom ring built into the access cover that bolts to the internal nut ring.

    IMG_0105_759d4b5a1543deeba914d2224278a93a45bb9448.jpg

The nut ring attached to the internal bladder is what the oval plate bolts to. The rest of the nuts and bolts simply hold the filler and the stock pump to the oval plate.
