Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I have a jd model 32. I built a mount for it that slides in my reciver hitch on the truck. It clears my bed rails and works decent if you are tall enough

I'm trying to figure out the best die for a model 3 bender to get to build headlight guards on a bumper. I'm am looking for something similar to what Pelfreybilt or Demello does. I was thinking either a 5.5" or a 6.5" radius die but I'm not sure.

You can always get the 5.5" and not bend it so tight, but you can never make a tighter bend with the 6.5".

    Stuff, stuff and more stuff

Go with the 6.5", you have a cleaner bend if its 1.75" tube

I run 6" CLR on my 1.75 and 2" dies. Anything more would be excessive IMO, slightly tighter might be nice sometimes but be mindful of the minimum wall thickness requirements on the tighter CLR's to keep from getting wrinkles in the inside of the bends

What can anyone suggest for a welder? Ive never really welded before but I need to learn and need something that will penetrate pretty well. Im leaning towards a 240v Mig welder. any suggestions on brand and a place to buy?

the Hobart Handler 190 is a good machine to start out with. Tractor Supply always has them in stock. You can run flux core wire out of them, but you'll want to get a bottle of shielding gas and run solid wire as soon as you can.

Just starting with a gas shielded machine, I'm super happy with the Miller 211 I just picked up.

They're also running a free spool gun through the end of the month. And a $200 rebate right now.

Where is this $200 rebate you speak of? With out it its about $400 more than the Hobart 190. And it gets you an extra 1/16 of an inch welding. Worth the extra money?

Ha, those guys are right down the road from me.

Seems like a pretty good deal IMO. My Hobart (owned by Miller and uses Miller parts) 210MVP is the closest thing but doesn't have the auto-set and was $900 + spool gun was another $200.

Personally think the autoset is a marketing gimmick. I don't know a single person that actually uses the autoset feature on their miller.

I wasn't a fan of the autoset. Take that with a grain of salt coming from a noob.

Probably a marketing gimmick, I really have no idea. That's just the only difference between the two that I can think of. I guess you're basically getting the Miller name for the price of the Hobart name is what it comes down to.

That miller is pretty nice. With the rebate and free spool gun seems to be like a good deal. Free shipping and no tax for me in Cali so can argue with that.

Whats everyone using for welding magnets? kinda surprised how expensive the locking ones are. I see they have a deal for spending $400 in accessories. I have a welding helmet and some gloves in the cart. any other must haves? was thinking an apron.
