Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    I vote hypertherm's powermax 30

I am eyeballing the powermax 45 for myself but it is more

Im up grading to the 45. Has a machine interface for my plasma table, and interchangeable torches for either hand held or machine torch.

I'd take a look a the Hypertherm powermax 30, you can get them new online for $1200ish and they're worth every penny. I have the 45, which I use maybe once every couple weeks for hand cutting but don't regret spending the money at all.

I have the powermax 65 on my table with machine torch. Works really good. But not cheap. For a garage guy not using a plasma everyday I would get a cut50 from eBay. I have one and for $350 it has never let me down in the 3 years I have owned it

This, my Cut50 is going on 4 years now and never missed a beat. Consumables are dirt cheap too, just order them in advance a few weeks.

I have an 80 gallon 5hp 3 phase unit. But I run a shop full time so I'm always using air tools. Ran off my Freinds 30 gallon just fine

perfect. I'll only be cutting 1/4'' ocasionally for the heavier gussets. mostly 1/8'' and 3/16''

cutter should be here in a week, with a big ol' box of extra consumables.

Thanks for the recommendations, Mark

I've got a 60 gallon, single piston in the garage.

i put a single 240 volt outlet in the garage when i got the compressor, but I'm going to run the cutter on 240. curious how long i can cut with compressor unplugged, after filling the tank to 155 psi. i don't need to cut thick steel so my cut distance per minute shouldn't be bad. I have no issue installing another 240 volt plug. just curious how long i'll deal with swapping plugs until I'm annoyed enough to install another.

If you're looking for more reviews, there are a number of folks on pirate who've been using them for a while now:
    http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/shop...-a.html#/forumsite/21027/topics/865201?page=1

For others looking - The loto 5000D is another popular cheap plasma worth looking at. There are a couple different versions.

that was one of the final selling points. I was really surprised that pirate didn't just tear it apart for being a Chinese machine.

So what would be the minimum reccomended size compressor to use with this guy? I don't have any air tools and they are not on my current short list, so it would be just for the plasma.
