Georgia TW May 3rd-5th Camping Trip

Hey guys since the most recent camping trip went great a bunch of people wanted to start another one. So lets go ahead and pick the month via poll that we are doing.

Just post up if you're in and let's get started! Give me your camping setup and possible number of people you're bringing up.

As of right now I'm thinking of hitting up a local spot off of Lake Blue Ridge (see pics below). So come out and bring your lake gear.

It is an abandoned gas station so there should be plenty of room for the few rigs we have going. After we have those that are coming we will head to the site. If you are a late straggler just PM and I'll send the coordinates to ya.

Aw damn. No time left for me to join in. My Vision Quest commences April 26th and I'll be running around finalizing stuff.

But I will think about spots and go over some pins I've dropped to see if I have some suggestions for you all!

Just thinking that since I'll hope to be messing with getting a house late April to May that June would be better for me. Plus gives more time for people to ask off

I want to go! If the schedule works I’m in. Working 24/48 is hard to plan around sometimes.

 

It would also give us enough time between last camping trip, mod day and then this camping trip. Maybe even try to find some camping near some water

 

If it's not on a weekend my kids have a tournament then I'm in. RTT +3

@BYJOSHCOOK ive got a few spots we should check out for the next camping spot. Next to water, and very scenic. A brief hike will take you to this

Oh hell yes!!! I am bringing my play boat if we are running that! Who kayaks in this group?

 

I do! Just don't have my own Kayak quite yet, was fortunate to be able to borrow my buddies

 

I would say lets do it in April, but I know we want to squeeze a mod day in there. So the next closest month is May, as long as it's not the Middle of June im Good to Go!!

This guy! I used to guide rafts on section 3 in high school. Section 4 is obviously more fun though.

 

I too was a guide on the chattooga. I worked at High Country Outfitters, when I first moved here.
Bruce Hare from Chatooga White Water shop was the guy who taught me how to boat. He lives off WarWoman Rd. Was one of the stunt men for that old flick Deliverance!

That hole at the bottom will work you, if you don’t punch thru it. It’s almost a perfect hydraulic. I got stuck there one time, not fun. Was force fed about 3gals of water. Finally got my roll...not a place to come out of your boat.

 

I'm off Mar 30 - Apr 7. Too soon?

Not sure if my son will be with me or not. TBD.

I can probably make most weekends as long as it's not 26-28 Apr.

 

Hell no it's not too early....I got a quick fishing trip planned for 28-31 but That first weekend of April I would be down if we wanna do a mini trip!!
