Getting A Good Dip Stick Reading??

    Am I the only one haveing trouble checking the oil level? I've had alot of vehicals over the years (including other Toyota's) and never had a problem reading a dip stick before. I've tried roughing it up with sandpaper but it doesn't seem to help. What's the secret with these dip sticks? I'm almost to the point of breaking out the metal etcher. :eek:

    Cover King Seat Covers, WeatherTech Liners, PopNLock, storage bin locks, N-Fab Step bars, and G4 Elite Tonneau cover.
    It's a little better if you take some sand paper to it, clean it off and then check. That gives it a little more surface to stick to.

    Update:
    After doing the sandpaper trick last year and still haveing trouble getting an accurate reading I decided to take it one step farther... Get a small round file and etch a "X" pattern across both sides from the end to about an inch past the fill dot. The oil level shows up great now!:)
