I just recently had to replace my driver door speaker, at first I thought it was blown but when I removed it I found that it was completely water logged and there was a little standing water in the bottom of the door. I've inspected the door and seals and don't see any obvious point that would be letting water in and I did not have my door open in the rain for any period of time. I was hoping someone might of had the same issue and wouldn't mind giving me their 2 cents/solution. Thanks in advance, I really don't want my new speaker to get damaged.

Get a small piece of solid wire or metal coat hanger, there's a few small drain holes on the bottom of the doors that you need to clean out. They are there to let water drain out that will get in there.. Your's is probably clogged up holding water in the door..

Here's a couple of pics from the bottom of the doors on a 2014, they actually have some holes in the rubber inserts.

I know this is old but my 2014 just poured a good amount of water out of one of those drain holes when I opened the door. I think because it rained heavy last night? But i'm not sure where the rain is getting in. I dont remember ever seeing this happen after a rain.

Rain/water gets in where the window slides up and down in the door channel. Yes, its normal on all car/vehicle doors.

Like the thread says clean the drain holes. Doors are not water proof, water runs down the window into the door and out the bottom, that is how car doors are designed.

Yes, water will get in. Run a zip tie up into the holes to clear them out. I also spray some Fluid film up into the drain holes followed by a little WD-40. When it gets hot out, it'll creep back out and will actually creep up the outside of your doors. It'll also creep up the insides. I spray up into the weep holes on the pinch seam in my rockers and cab corners too. I did this on my 98 T-100, my nephew has it now and the rockers and cab corners are still in good shape. The doors, not so much. I never thought to spray up into them. I won't make the same mistake on my Taco.
