Haha, trust me, I do and have lived. I don't rely on someone else. Between drag racing and road racing ( pretty much slowed to a stop now though), bike riding, running, motorcycling, traveling, remodeling, etc etc these are all things I have done on my own without a SO. I will continue to do them even if I'm single. Sometimes life is just more fin whenyou have a partner in crime though.

Fwiw though, she pretty much raped me when I got home from the neighbors last night. Guess I'll see if that's her apology ;)

I don't have a problem going out with her. After living with her I realized she wasn't who I thought she was. I had judged her wrong because she used to just come over for sex and I never got to know her. Not sure what my face looked like lol.

My bf and I have been together 2 years this Halloween, I moved in with him after 6 months...
He works mon-fri 8am-5 or 6pm sometimes later.
I've worked grave shift since we've been together, I leave at 9pm and get home at 6:30am and I'm off sat-sun.
We get 2-3 hours together in the evenings during the week, which he is tired from work.
I get off at 6am on Saturday and I'm tired from working all night and he is ready to start his day, he gets upset sometimes because I want to sleep for a few hours.
We spend 2 nights a week in the same bed, those nights I can't sleep cause I'm used to being awake at night, so I lay in bed and watch TV.
We do spend sat and sun together doing whatever we want, but he still gets upset cause he doesn't see me enough. I'm okay with it though. We've talked about it and deal with it for now, since we both have to work these hours to make the $$ we do.

Oh and he is 41 and I'm 27.

Kristin, I'm glad I'm not the only one. :) My gf is 10 yrs older than me. We get along great. She is a professional that has her own life and we do what we can to make time. Whether it's going to a rock concert on Sat night or just a small dinner on the deck. I have to work long days and she travels constantly. It's hard to find the time but you do what it takes to make it happen. If you want the relationship bad enough you will find ways.

    :D
We get along great also. I love working grave shift and have done it for years, he hates my hours, so I told him when a day shift spot comes open I will bid on it even though it would mean a $200/month pay decrease to do it. But even then our day hours are different than his hours, but it would probably work better for us anyway. I wouldn't choose to do it on my own, but he has asked me to do it so I will.

Every evening during the week we have dinner together. If he is invited to go out with someone during the week then he goes without me cause I have to work, or he tries to schedule it early so I can go too. We spend the weekends together and it helps that we have the same group of friends. We have a lot of the same interests and hobbies, so that helps a lot too. He is a 'fix-it' kinda guy and I don't know how to fix anything, but I love to learn and help, so he teaches me and then lets me do what I can to help him get things done. Sometimes that is just sitting there handing him tools or bringing a beer, sometimes he tells me what to do and I do it all myself while he works on something else. I'm good at researching and figuring things out, so he gives me assignments to help him when he needs info or a good deal on something.

Enjoying the same things and communication are major factors in a relationship. Every moment I have with him I cherish from watching tv together or working on a project together or going out of town once a month and spending the entire weekend with eachother and our friends in the dunes around a camp fire. Both people have to want to spend time together, enjoy spending time together and acknowledge the little things in life. It is very hard in this society to be able to spend a lot of time with someone...If you BOTH want the relationship to work then you will find ways to make it work.

Do you guys do dinner together on tue, thur and fri nights? Have you tried making plans for a sunday earlier in the day so she doesn't 'waste' the day? What does she do mon and wed nights while you are doing your own thing? What about you going with her sat nights and hanging with her friends/family?

She wasn't your girlfriend when she moved in, so why did she move away from her family/friends then if she didn't want to and feels like she is sacrificing by moving? She didn't move to be with you is what I'm saying, so how can she try and blame you.
