GFI keeps tripping

    When it makes sense, I do it myself, but I don't do house wiring.

    Well it appently was the moisture inside one of the outlets on the house. Luckily we had a few really nice warm and sunny days here and it must have dried up the moisture. Thanks for suggesting to just wait, otherwise I would have went to lowes and bought a new outlet and it would not have fixed the problem and I would be scratching my head....

    Make absolutely sure that the Ground is NOT touching the Neutral anywhere at the GFI and down the line from it. Check for warn or cracked insulation on the neutral wires. If they contact the ground or metal box it will trip. Check for any water in outdoor boxes too. Good luck!
