True, travel numbers don't mean anything, it is all about valving and tuning the suspension. You may be driving circles around the I-beamed trucks but the question is did they tune there suspension? Also remember most I-beam guys go cheap and don't do certain things like cross over steering cause they cant afford it. They just extend factory linkage. Which in the end makes then handle like crap..... Why did Jono take off his custom kit and convert over to beams? It was cheaper to go that route and get higher travel numbers. His truck handles better now then it did before. Yea, it's not a giant conversion or giant wiy kit. But many people like there beams over a-arms and its cheap to get high travel numbers. I have considered beams since a center pivot is out of my budget.

You may keep up with the full size trucks but without a full cage and plate work you WILL destroy your cab and frame with time. I know from experience. Currently my engine bay is ripping from the cab do to abuse and the back of my cab is splitting. I know of people that have bent and cracked frames do to the lack of plate and strength added from a cage. I also bet your motor mounts are broke if you beat on your truck as hard as you say you do.

If you want to know about beaming your truck I say go over to dezertrangers and go through the build threads and pm people that have converted over to beams. Just talk to them, See how they like them. Not saying the people on here dont know about beams but most people prefer a more simple bolt with less travel compared to full custom setup with bigger travel numbers.
