Girlfriend's Father

    My Girlfriend's (of 3 years) father had a stroke this morning while dropping his son off at the airport, who was on his way back to Fort Jackson for National Guard boot... he's in the hospital and doesn't sound very good.

    He is an awesome man and great father to his kids... My GF left this morning to Colorado to be with him, unfortunately I won't be able to go. It's tough since he lives alone and his eldest son just left for boot.

    He has had heart problems recently (due to an infection, caused by tooth problems :() He was scheduled to have a heart valve replaced sometime next week, but this happened before that could happen

    All your prayers and support would be welcome... hoping he makes a full recovery. Thank you...

    Prayers are with them! Can someone contact the National Guard Recriuter / red cross to see if they can get the son out of boot camp so he can be with his family? Boot camp can wait.

    I hope that Nick has a full recovery.

    Contacting the Red Cross is a good idea if his condition gets critical though ... FWIW ... the Red Cross can do wonders in situations like this.

    Her father went into surgery and they removed a massive blood clot from the left side of his brain. Surgery went well... so your prayers are definitely helping...
