Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
I just ordered a Comp-Tac Minotaur...same design as CB without supporting the owner or his imposed beliefs.

Interesting. That is what really turned me off about the CB, I will have to check out Comp-Tac.

i had a high point 9mm once...the magazine used to puke its guts if you slightly bumped into anything....it was really annoying but i would own another high point for a tackle box gun etc something i wouldnt cry over if i lost it in a boating accident

Glock 26 with pinky extension will give you a couple of extra rounds. Add some adjustable nite sights and you have a reliable rig. You will hear a lot of people say get a bigger caliber gun, but if you can't stay on target what good does it do you? Another option would be a boberg.

i'm not a fan of making my CCW gun any bigger than it's gotta be but i will agree with you on the G26, i can shoot mine almost as good as my G34, size really DOESN'T matter when it comes to glocks

    I vote Kahr.

They do not have metal rails which seems like it would limit their life span, but I love the size and feature set for a dedicated CCW that gets a somewhat limited round count at the range.

The Kahrs do have a long heavy trigger pull, but it is very consistent. Since my top priorities in a CCW are weight, size, and reliability, I feel I can compromise a little on the trigger.

The biggest reason I like the Kahr for CC is because the grip is long enough so I can get all my fingers on the gun. For me, having a confident grip is more important to accuracy than a light crisp trigger.

The Glock has an uncomfortable grip angle for me and I cannot get all my fingers on the subcompact models. Furthermore, the double stack magazine guns print badly on me.

The 1911's have great size and grips, but I do not get enough range time to get confident with the 1911 manual of arms.

The Kahr is light, comfortable to hold and carry, reliable, and point and click easy to use.

I also have a 34 with a trigger kit from glocktrigger and it is very accurate, easy and cheap to shoot. And even though I have an sti, the glock 34 gets more trigger time. I've got a trigger kit for the 26 that will be installed soon.

I chose other. chances are u r not going to use the gun in a lif threatening situation. that said if u do need to use it wouldnt u want to put on or two shots in the prick and know he aint gunna fight back. im all for kimber dont get me wrong but if u r going to be useing and abusing this gun every day go with the glock they can take a beating just get a larger caliber thats all .40 or .45 theres my 2 cents

kimber is the #1 most over rated 1911 manufacturer out there. Besides that fact that I would not vote for kimber, if you do decide to go 1911 dont go anything smaller than a 4". I believe thats the pro model in the kimber world.

Kimber is the leader in the 1911 world for guns returned to the factory

I would take a bone stock Springfield GI or a plain jane RIA over a top of the line Mimber

Well I went ahead and dropped the hammer and got the Glock 26. I liked the way it felt in my hand and I got a good deal on it $475 O.T.D for the 9x19.

Good call, I carry a 27 every day?
I've been in law enforcement 18 years and my current holster for my G27 is the best I've ever carried for off duty.
Check out Front Line Ready 'n' Safe Holster, 3226 would be for our guns.
They are an Isreali company, the leather is thick and stiff and the inside is lined with Teflon for a quick draw. The other aspect I love is that the Belt clip is wide and steel, so you can wear it with anything, I wear mine with board shorts (no belt) all the time. This is a inside the waist holster that WILL last as long as the gun.
    Enjoy!!!

Springfield XD45M Compact. I have shot glocks, kimbers, you name it. I prefer Springfield XD's.

    Here's a few of em
    [IMG]
    From left to Right
    S&W MP15-22 22LR AR
    Walther P22 22LR semiauto
    XD40 4" service
    Kimber 1911
XD45ACP Tactical Olive Drab with Viridian SXD Green Laser

And the Kimber had a few misfires, as did the Walther P22. Neither S&W mp15-22 rifle or either XDs ever skipped a beat. Even the FTF from the kimber ran fine through the XD.

Plus, the teardown or field strip of the XD is like 20 seconds flat even for an idiot. I love the Kimbers and they are great guns but lots more cleaning and detail involved. If you want least maintenance with easiest use, and easy to conceal, go with the Springfield XDs.

Also shot with a Glock 22. Both XDs whooped the Glock on fit/finish and accuracy consistently.
