Check this out, if you ever need to make that G21 a carbine, pop it in a KPOS slap a high capacity mag in it, and you have a great home defense weapon.

Uh. You do realize a .45, 9mm, just about every "HD" round isn't taken seriously until it penetrates 12" of ballistics gel. 9mm and .45 do 13-14", That's what makes this round a big deal.

And remember to pay the $200 SBR tax.... I never liked Frankenstein weapons when you absolutely have to depend on a firearm.

I had a Keltec Sub 2000 carbine once. It sucked.

I wouldn't compare a Glock to a Keltec, and wouldn't say its a Frankenstein weapon either. It in no way affects the action of the Glock, which is legendary for reliability, there is no arguing that fact.

Your absolutely right about the SBR tax though, definitely it's down fall.

However it does fill its intended purpose very well, multipurpose discrete PPD and vehicle weapon .

Cool I just checked it out, what I like about the KPOS though is the portability when the stock is collapsed.
They both seem to be about the same price, the build quality on the KPOS is good, I'm curious what its like on the HERA.
Sig just came out with the ACP, Adaptive Carbine Platform.
I carry a Sig a lot, I've "heard" there is a lot of interest in it from several agencies.
Once again great for PPD and Vehicle ops. The 416 and MP5 are great but are just to big, and with FY2013 right around the corner, too expensive.
There is a reason these things are becoming popular all of a sudden.

No insult intended towards the keltec, I've heard they are great bang for your buck.

Come on John... you can't put that up without posting the same shots of the Hydrashock so we can see what a pathetic old-tech POS it really is ;)

Seriously... My personal JHP preference is:

Speer GD JHP (+P for 9mm)
    Ranger SXT
    Federal HST

I have all of the above right now... my RIA 1911, Glock26, XD9 4", and wife's 92FS all feed it all without any issues at all.

I finally got a chance to fire my new GLOCK 26 and its crazy accurate. I really like it. It feels super comfortable and I think I like it even more than my S&W.

For my carry ammo I use Hornady Critical Defense for both my 9mm and .40 ammo.

    ^^^+1

When I go to the range, I've probably taken my XD9 Service less than 25% of the time.
    The G26 goes every time.

I was really hoping to get my "new" .32 to the range this weekend, but I slammed my trigger finger in the truck door last Monday and I don't dare try to shoot anything.

Should be a fun little gun.
Visited mom & dad in Texas, and we got to talking gun laws. I mentioned that with my 03 and a California COE I was exempt from some issues.
Mom said "Dad's gun is over 50 years old isn't it?"
She was referring to her dad's gun. She swears that he bought it in '41, but the serial number traces to 1917.
It's a Colt 1903 and in good, but well-loved condition.
I just replaced all of the springs yesterday (as common with these, the guide rod was improperly installed and the recoil spring was bent all to hell).

I like the critical defense because I was doing a lot of reading and came across a bit on how HP can fail to expand correctly when shot through thick clothing/leather and saw a lot of testing on the several kinds of JHP and the Hornady critical defense. I will try to find the link and put it up here.

I was referring to more of the Pistol Caliber carbines. Unless you need to supress, or operate full auto, carry a rifle cartridge.
