Glove Compartment Lighting

Just bought a new 2010 SR5 A/C..(first NEW truck I've had since 1981). I've seen the mods for console lighting, but haven't seen anything on installing light(s) in the Glove Compartment/Box. Has anyone here tried adding lights there? I know popping on the map light will throw enough light to see in the compartment, but I always liked the old pressure switched lights in the box. Lazy, I guess.

Haven't seen any mods for that - but sounds like a good idea and probably not all that hard to do (in theory anyway).

they used to sell them in smaller sizes...idk what happened lol...but i think you could use almost anything...

i just have it wired to a switch...its all on the same switch...the footwell lights and the glovebox...

whenever i get a chance to and feel like not being lazy lol (prob. when the semester ends) im gonna try and hook the footwell lights to my door pin switch and use one of these : http://www.oznium.com/pin-switch for the glovebox (the same type of swithch, that one looks waay to big lol)

 

Thanks for the link...........I went to Autozone and got a 12-inch strip for 14 bucks and it comes with a pressure switch. Hope to install it this weekend.
