Yeah, you are gonna get lots of opinions on why NOT to go that high. Like someone else said, lift is so you can fit bigger tires so you can get better ground clearance under your axle and be able to run harder trails.
You clearly stated that you only want a taller truck so you can stand out on your campus.... Hence all the opinions.
I used to offroad a lot in a built '88 Jeep YJ and ran 5.5" suspension with 1" body lift and trimmed fenders. Just enough lift to run 35"x10s without rubbing at full stuff.
If you're not offroading, throw as big a block as you can at it, stack the body lifts and Bro it up. Oh, and make sure you only carry a factory size spare tire. No need to waste money on a matching tire and rim. For that extra money you can get lots of neon to light up the space under your truck, and the other guys at your campus will think your truck can levitate (fly).

You have 6" lift already, and want another 3" and a BL is out of the question. Richard has a pretty good setup and it's not expensive at all (respectively). Add OME coils and a 1/4" top plate spacer and there is your extra 3"

I don't mean to start a fight, but you can't compare your truck to a fullsize. That super duty is designed by engineers to sit at that height, and it sits at that height for a reason.
