Title should have the most info so people dont have to read the thread to find the date and location.

do it to it... ive been thinkin about buying another 2nd gen, 4x4 this time but ive got so much money into my PreRunner i might look into a twin stick 4x4 conv. any of you guys know much about it?

 

Just buy the 4x4 and swap the parts over... haha

 

I'm up for a trip to Bridgeport in February.

 

Ive thought about that too.. the key is paying off the Ducati before I make a move. Trying to pay it off by June.

That and the transfer case are the big ones. And the front diff is way harder to find than the FJ case, I paid $400 for my FJ case from a junk yard in Burleson but I got lucky.

Should be:
4x4 Transfer Case
Front Diff
Front Drive shaft
Rear drive shaft
Cv Axles
4x4 bearings/hubs
plus lots of little things

I don't know specifically, I know the auto trans on my 4x4 bolts up no problem to the FJ case. You might need the full setup coming from a prerunner. Read a lot before you start buying parts. You're looking at $1000 in just parts low-end and labor will get high quick if you pay someone to do it.
