CONGRATS! I share the feeling, I can't wait for mine to get here. Bought a Nuvi 350 GPS last night in anticipation for when it gets here. Got a good deal on ebay. Now trying to figure out where I'll mount the Sirius, don't want the dash to get too cluttered. Have fun and be safe.

Congratulations!!! I know what you mean. I had similar issues when I bought my 007. It is the first new vehicle I have ever purchased (for myself ;) ). I think that it is great that you got EXACTLY what you wanted.

I can't wait to see the pics! :D

Just drove about 180 miles int he new taco. She drives like a lifted car. As a matter of fact, she drives better than my wifes car. I am dreading letting her drive it, cause she may try to confiscate it. I cant blame her though. Does a bear know why he is a bear? mY family stopped in last night -they didnt know we bought a truck- and they were very impressed. They are BIG chevy people.

This is a great truck. Is there some kind of coating on the engine or the exhaust, cause every time I stop I get a whiff of something burning. I would compare it to leaving the Ebrake on or a burning clutch (I have an auto).

I am glad that your family loves your truck. My fam keeps trying to borrow mine. :D They aren't big fans of any particular company. They are just big against Fords. :(

The smell that you are getting is probably a combination of cleaners on the engine and exhaust parts added to an engine that is just getting broken in. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just keep your attention on it until it goes away.

As far as the wife goes... That is why I had to buy my wife an 06 Rav4 Sport V6 4WD before I got my Tacoma. She and I both have excellent vehicles now, and she doesn't try to steal mine. :D

ok...looked at the block...its just overspray of the undercarriage coating. whoever undercoated the thing went hog wild on it. there is some on the heads and the exhaust manifolds. the smell has gone away.

Yes, it will go away. I had the exact same thing happen when I first brought my truck home. It is nothing to be alarmed about.
    Enjoy your new baby! :D

I think what you paid is a pretty good deal. I got pretty much the same thing you did with the same options except mine is off road and not the sport and i didnt get the 6 disc changer and i paid $27,000 for mine out the door. i played a bunch of dealers against each other for a couple of weeks. Congrats on the new truck!

Got notice today that my new 4x2 Sport will be in this Friday. Last Friday I stopped by the dealer and asked them to give me an estimate for my trade (2000 VW Passat). They check it out and came back with $3K. I was floored as Kelly and Edmonds both identified I should get 6.2-6.4K for trade in. :frusty: I taked to the dealer rep and said I wasn't happy, and I felt that both parties should be happy when conducting a deal. I told him I was pulling back from the deal and that I would wait until the '08's are out and see what new things were being offered. As I explained, I have a perfectly good vehicle, and the truck was a nice thing to have, but not a need item. Talk about fire burning under his feet. :boom: Said he would talk with the GM and get back with me. Later I get an offer for 5.1K. Not what I had envisioned, but I'm still in the game. I'm prepared for the actual delivery, and things going sideways........I hate playing this game  I'll tell you all how it goes down.....stay tuned

I would talk to CarMax and see what they will give you for the Passat. They will buy it outright for more than dealer trade (usually).

I am picking mine up tomorrow....Here was my deal.

2007 DBL Cab Pre Runner Short Bed
    6 CD Stereo Package
SR5 Package#2 (I think this comes with the TRD anyway)
    TRD Off Road
    Towing Package
    Toyota Sound/Luster/Under-Coat
    Toyota Port Installed Pin Strip
Toyota Hitch (why that doesn't come with the towing pkg-I don't know)
    Toyota TRD sport Seat Covers
    Toyota Bed Extender
    Chrome Step Bars
A 100K nominal extended warranty (that they said it was free and came with the truck)
ALL WRAPPED IN THE beautiful COLOR OF WHITE.

I traded in my 1999 Tacoma Pre Extra Cab with 233K

They said they gave me $4000.00 for it.

There was a $750.00 Rebate from Toyota.

    My net/net cost was.....$22468.50

I think I am OK with the deal, I don't think I stole the bank or anything. I compared it to another local dealer on the last day of the month and it was fairly close.

    WHatcha think?

I aggree, i don't think you stole the bank but it seems like you got a pretty good deal, especially that warranty, mine didn't come with the 100k warranty, it was alot extra (so i didn't get it). Anyway, congrats on the truck

thats whats great about buying a "Toyota Certified Pre-Owned"...not only do you get the remainder of the factory warranty (if there is any left), but you also get a 100k mile powertrain warranty :D plus, i think like a 30 or 90 day factory warranty (which is nice if there wasn't any factory warranty left)

    YAY TOYOTA!

duckman, is that a 4 or 6 cyl?

Invoice or less. If they won't show you the invoice, go elsewhere. Costco pricing in AZ is invoice on this truck (just bought one).
