I am going to put a KICKER subwoofer in my truck and need some help wiring it. I want to keep my stock head unit. I have researched and found that I am going to use a Line Out Converter. The thing is I have a stock subwoofer that can with the truck and would like to use that wiring so I wouldn’t have to do as hard of wiring. I’ll post some pictures below of the stock wiring. So my question is what wires on the LOC would I connect with the pre existing wiring.
The stock wiring has 7 wires.
    Red
    White
    Yellow
    Black
    Big Brown
    white with green stripe
    Thin gray

    Any help is appreciated.

Are you running the stock amp or a new one. For mine I'm running 2 amps one 2 channel amp for my subs and a 4 channel amp for my highs an mids. I disable the stock amp and used it a bridge just so I can use the oem wires and head unit

Hit up the Audio-Video subforum. Your answer is probably in there somewhere...just need to search a around.

Are you using the stock amp? If so... It is probably not worth upgrading the subwoofer. If you are going to put a new subwoofer in, you should put a new amp in, which would require new wiring anyway. That is just my .02

This wiring comes directly from the head unit to the crappy x subwoofer in the AC trucks.

THANK YOU! I really appreciate the help. Now I have got another question and that is can I take the wires for the stock sub and wire a new one? I was thinking a kicker PT250 becuase it uses the speaker wires instead of RCA or should I use a LOC?

I don't think whatever power is going to the stock sub is going to be enough to power anything else any better..

So I think you CAN go either way. Before I put too much effort into wiring what you have you should find out how much power is going to the sub now. Then you can determine if you will have any better sound from a new subwoofer.

Maybe the manual has some info? Otherwise I'm sure Google would have some ideas.

ACC is the accessory wire, Google that too lol it does a better job explaining.

You could simply touch a volt meter to the positive wire. But honestly, I have a 12" skar in my access cab in a custom box pushing about 500 rms, I still want more. You are way better off running a amp to a aftermarket sub to get any improvement at all.

Yes i understand the box isnt large for tons of air vibration but i wanted my seats open still

The accessory wire is basically the power supply for the amp when the car radio is on right? Not the main powersource just for when the radio is on.
