Plasti Dip. Or you can peel the emblems off with fishing line then reattach them with 3m double sided tape

Take them off there is no way to mask them off on your truck and have it look anywhere near decent.

You can plasti dip them. That's how I did mine. You can also take them off the truck and paint them. Easier to plasti dip them on the truck though. Check out this link and you can see how it's done. Just tape around badges with about an inch around badges. Spray 3-4 coats of plasti dip on it and peel it away from around the badges. I used a wood toothpick to remove it from the middle of the letters. This video will show you how easy it is.

How does the plasti dip pull off from the painted surface but stick to the badges. It seems the surface of the badge wouldn't be better then the painted surface for the plasti dip to adhere to. How well does the plastic dip stay on the badges after a few washing? Is pulling the plastic dip off the pinted surface after it dries as easy as it look?

I just pretty much need to know easy ways to remove them and prep for paint and the best 3M tape that will keep them on

Check out my post in the Plasti-dip mega thread. Painting is more of a hassle. I've had the badges (and bumper and valance) dipped for a year now. I scrapped off a little from my bumper due to backing into some bushes, and also a car just grazed the corner of my rear bumper and peeled the dip right off. Had to redo it. They broke a red reflector because there were pieces below the bumper and tiny pieces embedded into the dip. It looked like they grazed my bumper the tickness of the dip because the chrome underneath didn't have a mark.

Anyway, I digress. After a year the dip held up otherwise. I just got a new gas pressure washer and it didn't take the dip off. It is easier than removing the badges, prepping, painting, and sticking them back in the same spots.
