Yeah, they’re definitely great too. When I was up on the Dempster Highway in the Yukon a couple of summers ago, I asked a tire shop in Whitehorse what the best tires were to drive to Inuvik. He said Nitto Terra Grapplers, haha. But my Duratracs were fine too.

Good to know, thank you. There’s 3 tires in the mix now, so flipping a coin may be the deciding factor.

I should add, are they good tires in the other than harsh conditions as well?

Yeah, performance isn’t much of a factor on straight dry roads, but I only own one vehicle and it has to be good enough to drive fast on the big roads, and Duratracs and BFGs do that. Of course, they look great too.

Those are only $119 a tire for me. Might have to try them when the time comes!

Yes exactly my situation as well. No perfect setup for all situations, so just have to find that balance.

$121 on Amazon based on a quick google search for 265/70/16. I would bargain that with some creative bargaining/shopping they could be had for under $100.

Yes I am seeing the same. Duratracs even more yet. I’m tempted to just buy all of the 3rd gen OEM Offroad wheels and tires in the BST and beat the hell out of them until the 4th gen wheels go on wholesale. $800+ for tires just sucks. $500 is more tolerable though, I may have to give them a shot.

Yes that sounds better to me everyday too. Sure the “stance” isn’t as cool and I won’t have all terrains for all of those imaginary Off Road excursions that I take on the way to and from work, but no need to trash pile a perfectly good set of rubber.

No shit when the time comes we can splurge but for right now might as well save and just make the payments and small mods for us vs. the public eye :spending:

Absolutely. Save $xx.00/ month for 36 months for the wheels and tires of choice. Pay cash when the time comes to replace the stocks and turn the stocks in to a dedicated winter set. Shit, then I have to buy a set of winter tires too. I can’t win.

Damn you haha. Let’s be honest though, we probably paid $900 from the stealership for the stock tires alone.

Yeah he was like look they're made with Kevlar which is in bullet proof vests lol. What a hell of a salesman.

I hated that stealership but the price was too good to pass or else I wouldn't have bought there.. well just say I didn't do their survey

My experience was similar. First time dealing with a Toyota dealer and it left a lot to be desired to be polite. I basically had to hound the salesman daily for three weeks to get him to find and bring in a silver long bed so I could buy it. I couldn’t believe it actually, me hounding the salesman for a sale. I ended up just going through the general manager directly. I’m hoping the service department is better. It’s the only option within a 45 minute drive or so for me.

Yep I ended up going with a bigger dealer about an hour qway for the price, and they had just the truck I wanted except the chrome bumper... and a 20 year 200K mile powertrain warranty so not bad!

The warranty is the other reason aside from the distance that I stuck with the local dealer. No additional cost lifetime powertrain warranty. Now whether they will use any deviation from stock to wiggle out of it is another story.
