Drove the wife and granddaughter up to Frog lake on Mt. Hood today and I have to say that even with 32,000 miles on my original Goodyears they preformed great on the ice and snow. I know that a lot of people dump them but I think that I might just buy a cheap set off Craigslist next go around.

One of mine blew out the kevlar sidewall. That's why I bitched mine.

Even Kevlar can’t withstand a blast from a howitzer!

Stock tires might’ve done fine but good tires would’ve done way better

What kind do you have? I have an appointment on Monday to replace my wore out E load K02s with Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrains SL. My last 3 sets have been BFGs so I'm hoping these are good in the rain and snow. The price is definitely nicer. I am a little worried that I should have ordered the E loads but its Discount tire so I can always take em back.

I have the Al ultra terrains and they are the best tire I have ever bought. Especially here in snow and ice. I took it up to mount hood ( didn’t have to chain because it’s traction tire) and never had one single issue.

Cool! Thats what I wanted to hear. I haven’t made it up to the mountain yet but I’m dying to break out the board again.

My goodyear MTRs suck on light snow on the street since the lack of siping, but they did great in the deep stuff plowing away. But my wife has goodyear assurance weather ready with tons of siping and were amazing around town when it dumped snow here.
