So are you saying the tires have 69k on them in total?

If you are having trouble do a static balance it will look for the high point in the tire otherwise tell the tech to take the rounding offand do a detail balance and try to get it as low as possible if that doesnt work ask when was the last time they had there balancer recalibrated

thats pretty much what he did... being slightly out of round the main problem I am facing. but the tread is almost gone as well so I plan to just replace the front tires as soon as funds allow...

That's pretty damn good. Do you have a current pic of what they look like with that many miles?

Edit: or nevermind, you just said they were about bald

at 69k miles total... the first 31k were on my ''work'' truck which is full time 4wd -as in no computer controls, no abs, just 3 open diffs- front, rear and center... ie; the rear tires last nearly forever. like 3 sets of front tires to this set of rear tires that are now on my tacoma... 4/32'' in the middle and about 5/32'' on the outer lugs.

edit; wake100, just saw your edit... here are pic's anyway...

Where are you located? if you're near mud I wouldn't recommend the KO2, my dad has them on his F250 and I'm not really impressed with them, they just don't clean out like a good AT should.

New York, not the City either, near Syracuse. I am not concerned with mud, mostly snow. The KO2 leaved me uneasy with having only load E in 265/75/16

My off roading is pretty much stone paths, no actual mud to speak of

The Wrangler Authority is pretty damn good in the snow. Way better than the BFG AT KO's. No experience with the KO2, but they don't look different enough to be an improvement.

Just rolled over 3,000 miles on mine. Still as smooth and straight as when I got them. No complaints.

awesome. when this storm passes I am going to check to see if they have some in stock at my Walmart. I have cooper stt maxx right now but they are known to have issues with alignment and they pull to the right. i have had 15 different alignments and all of the numbers are good but still cant let go of the steering wheel without going off the road. I think i will try out these authorities and see how they do.

Currently waiting at WalMart TLE for a rotation/balance on mine. When I showed them the original receipt from when I bought them for the free service, I was shocked to see these things have close to 80k miles on them yet still have about 40% tread on them, maybe even a little more.

The truck is my daily driver, my driving style could be described as "asshole", and I take some long trips pretty regularly. My only complaint is they've gotten a little bit louder on the highway, but I don't really care. Other than that they've been awesome and I plan to buy them again.

found my balance issue... the tire has ben slipping on the rim during off roading... it got marked by the city parking enforcer and she got the rim as well. today 3 days later the rim and tire sections of the mark are about 5 inches apart. I am chalking it up it to the super low 8 psi and a very rocky trail I regularly traverse (ie;weekly) at this point. I would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this with this tire...

Hmm liking these. Interesting there not even listed on Goodyear Tire website. I had Duratracs before the Toyo AT2. The Duratracs were awesome till they got more then half worn. At that point they started getting progressively louder to the point I couldn't take it anymore since it's a DD still. So it sounds like these are not as loud as a Duratrac when worn? My Toyo's are good but a bit too mild, and now off road traction is not good at about 50% tread. Op how do you like the cooper AT3's? and how do they compare? link to review

These weren't quite as loud as the Duratracs when worn, but they sure weren't quiet either. So far, I'm not liking the AT3's on my personal truck, but I'm loving them on my work truck: difference being I went with standard load on my personal and C load on my work truck. The C load version could probably still pass as new, even after thousands of miles of tremendously abusive use.
