I'm looking at these for my stock suspension 13 DCLB TRD sport.

What is the difference in the "C" and "E" load? "E" is like $30ea cheaper at my local walmart?

Any issues with 265/70R17 on stock suspension?

Strange that the E is cheaper? It's usually the other way around. E load rating is heavy duty 10 ply vs C which is 6 ply. Significant weight difference with the E coming in 7-10 lbs heavier usually.

how would the E effect handling and gas mileage?

I thought it was strange too "E" is $147.00 a tire vs $180 for "C"

Truck is mainly commuter vehicle. Hunting and Fishing off road. I also have a job where I have to be in during blizzards and whatever.

It's a heavier tire with a stiffer sidewall. If you're not a hardcore off-roader you'll be better off with the C, but considering the E is cheaper for some weird reason you might want to jump on that.

I run the C and have stomped on them enough to know they'll hold up(for me)and my gas mileage wasn't affected by excessive tire weight.

My guess is it's a inventory thing. There must be a lot of E's sitting on the shelves. It's also a Walmart thing with the fluctuating prices like its a commodity or something? I jumped on mine when they were at $152/tire for 265/75/16C. That's a crazy low price for an E rated tire? As far as MPG I would say maybe 1MPG less with the E, but maybe stiffer ride too.

I run mine at 35 psi. Lots of room to go up in a stiff tire.

I'm running them at 36 front and 34 rear normally. Seems to ride good on road there. Going up to 40 or so in rear when towing and/or loaded. Adj accordingly.

I just got mine Friday night. Service manager at Walmart was a jerk and refused to put them on. I had to buy them at one walmart and have them installed at another. The other one did not have the tires in stock. Got them for $135 ea. $24 to mount and balance all 4.

Just got a set of 4 265/70r17c for $45 each. $190 out the door. They're on clearance. Would have got 5 for a full size spare but they only had 4 left.

    What?!

That has to be a local price. I don't see it anywhere near that listed online. Curious what the DOT date code is?

Hey! Nice! I'm trying to keep the added weight reasonable because of the 4banger. So I just bumped the tires up to 265s. All other mods will be utlilitarian. No crazy stuff going on here
