thanks for the great review op! ive been back and forth between these for months. Im in need of tires before winter and im very tight, so im always looking for a good buy. The only thing that im going to frown on is the sound. I know its a at/mt tire and it will whine, but on a scale 1-10, 10 being the worst. What do you rate them as far as cab noise?

I'd put it at about a 6. Keeping tabs on the tire pressure (a little on the high side) seems to help keep the sound down.

Just wondering how everyone was still liking these tires? I'm in the market but don't want to break the bank. I also have a set of aftermarket wheels on my truck and i'm not sure how I feel about the Walmart tech's handling my truck. I've never bought tires at Walmart but I have bought several sets from Sam's which I guess is basically the same thing. Got a good buddy that had a really bad experience with the Walmart near us so I'm somewhat leery. Any ways thanks for the input guys.

You can always just buy the tires and have them mounted elsewhere.

I'm almost to my first 5,000 mile rotation. Absolutely no signs of wear. Excellent wet and snow traction. Still no experience in mud. I will update the OP as I get a few more thousand miles on them.

As for having Walmart install them; I too was leery. But this time it turned out pretty damn well. It helps if you get a chance to talk with the guy who is actually installing the tires and just BS with him/her for a while.

i would guess about 10k on mine now. as i stated at the beginning of this thread, the walmart techs are as good or better than any small, local shop in my area.

the tough part with walmart is the size of the company and resulting fear of responsibility to any claim. it took me a long time to convince them that 265/75/16 will fit and in proving my point i waived my chance at puncture warranty, not that i/ve needed it.

this really is a good tire for the money. i see them on more trucks every day

I purchased these tires in 265 75 16 yesterday, came out to 750 OTD as carry outs (the walmart techs for whatever reason claimed my wheels wouldnt fit their machines (method double standards). Took them over to big-o tire and they mounted them with no issues, they said walmart is just dumb my wheels would fit any machine out there.

Anyways, It was raining yesterday so I went offroad and tested them on a very extreme trail here in southern utah. I went from desert average ground to mud, sand, and gravel.

Found the tires performed great in just about everything but definatley have to much air in them from big-o which ill address later today. I give them an A+ in sand, I made it through all the sand in 2wd that i normally would be stuck in with the stock tires. In mud I give them a B to C. But this could change drastically once tire pressure is adjusted. I had problems with them just clumping up and not cleaning the mud out, which in turn lost almost all traction.

in my experience they are very quite considering their aggresive tread. They are much quiter then my Ford ranger with 30 x9.5 BFG all terrains.

I bought the load range C and they ride just as smooth as the stock rugged fails. Overall I would highly recommend the tires, especially for the price, when compared to my buddys duratracs on his tacoma... these perform identical. We'll see how they hold up as i rack up some more miles.

first pic was 2wd second one was 4wd just to be safe cuz the sliders were the only thing that kept my truck off that bank(notice the mirrors folded in, i had to do that cuz they ran across the bank if not)

OP and others, thanks for the good reviews. Duracracks as still top on my list, but now these are on my radar too.

Anyone have these in the North East, specifically New England. Our snow is usually wet and heavy, intermingled with ice. Any reviews how they perform in NE winters? It doesn't look like they have the severe snow service rating, so I'm curious how they do in the snow.
