no way brosive, they are sensitive, when I got my truck on sept 08... winter hit in like december, the air was so cold that it made my tire pressure lower and the light came on. As soon as I drive it, it will warm up and then it would go away! crazy!!

Im still driving my Duratracs at 34psi up front , 24psi in the rear
Still a smooth ride all the around, but the TPMS light stays on.
Have just gotten used to it now.

ok just order a set of dura tracs from discountiredirect.com

they were $180 a pop, total is $720. I'm shipping them to my in-laws house since I live in a condo. I have a $20 rebate plus I also joined tread lightly so I'll get $100 back later on also! Sweet!

Or you can get them for $652 from 4WheelParts.com ($171 + $60 INSTANT REBATE, + 5% OFF Promo with FREE in-store pick-up) and not have to worry about paying $20 to sign-up for some bullshit membership and waiting for bullshit mail-in rebates you may or may not ever get. Just sayin.

huh... oh well. even on my 09 Tacoma I never saw that light turn on, even when tires were under inflated due to cold weather, and have not seen it the light on my 10 Tacoma either. Maybe I got bad sensors. oh well, i dont really care about the feature anyway...
I guess since my tpms is set with factory tire pressure of 29, and I roll 36 in front and 31 in the back, I never see the light come on.
Ive only got 6,00 miles on my tires and cant tell of any wear.
Skistoy, how many miles you got on your tires now?

So which TW member has the most miles on a set of Duratracs? Tread wear/life of tire is my #1 concern about any tire purchase followed closely by winter handling, off road handling and gas mileage.
Been reading reviews on other sites about these and its either rave or rant. Some people are saying great tire, great handling, and no wear and others are saying horrible tire, handling and excessive wear. Not sure who to believe! Of course most of the negative reviews came from owners of full size trucks.

How well they hold up will probably vary on driving environment. I do 70-75 on frwy 60 miles a day to and from work. 10k on them now. Been rotated twice at 5k when changing oil. Wear seems even, alignment is fresh and right, not noisy, great traction & handling but already doesn't look all super knobby like when new but is still 3/4 or more. Maybe they can make 40k. I'm sure they'd probably last longer in non metro frwy situations.

I don't have much time on mine yet. I think the guys or gals who have the full size trucks need to make sure they go up to load range E, our tacomas are fine on load range C.

I am about to buy a set of these for my '10. Has anyone out there tried to get both the $20 off from Goodyear and done the $100 Tread Lightly rebate and got both back. I am not too worried about the $20 rebate if they don't allow you to use both but $20 is $20. Thanks.

I got a Goodyear credit card to get these. Got 40.00 rebate from them and got the 100.00 treadlightly rebate and also paid GY cc off well before the 6 months same as cash no interest thing was an issue. The rebates are seperate things and one doesn't cancel out the other. IIRC, using the cc also got me free balance and rotation as well as roadside assistance/towing too.
