I just got a set of these today. I just started reading this thread and wanted to see how this pressure worked out for you with these tires? Are you still running them? How many miles? I got the same size as you (E load).

Sorry to come into this thread late, but I'm shopping around for new tires to put on my 2007 TRD Sport. The OEM tires are 265/65-17s while these are 265/70-17. That should fit right? I also have TPMS as well, any issues with that, guys?

I don't do any off-roading other than an occasional gravel/dirt road, but I do drive in snow often (Chicago winters). I don't know if the C or E sidewall rating is appropriate for me. Any advice on this guys?

    Thanks!
    Tom

Here are my 265/70/17 with a 3" Revtek lift. But I have seen these tires on a Tacoma with no lift.

Thats a Peak Mechanical mining variant Tacoma. It uses Land Cruiser 70 solid front and rear axles and I believe the suspension is unmodified. The Land Cruiser 70 series trucks ride about that high from the factory.

Another 2,000 miles and I will have put 50,000 miles on these tires. Lately, for the past year I have been doing all highway driving :( These tires are still in great shape! I still have a decent amount of tread on them. I rotate them every 5,000 miles. For all that are considering this tire, I would recommend it. Duratrac's are awesome! I'll post back how many miles I got out of them when the tires reach their lifespan.

I am some what disappointed with my purchase of these last week.

As for the traction and looks I give them a 10 out of 10.

What I did not like about them is how easily they chunked out.

I went on a camp trip this last weekend. It was not a wheeling trip but I had to put in 4Lo to get around here and there. (I realized real quick it does not wheel like my jeep did and I need to get some skid plates before I go out again. Bent the stick skid and bend the trailer light plug.)

I noticed a bunch of small chunks missing out of the treads. My last set of goodyear tires where some MTR's on a jeep back on 2004. From what I remember they held up way better and I was way harder on them.

Oh well At least I know they did way better in the desert caliche (20 mins at the car wash and I still did not get it all) than the stocker ever could and they will be way better in the snow this winter.

Well... I did take those pictures.

It is indeed a peak mechanical truck

The suspension is definitely not unmodified and the truck uses LC 3rds with diamond housings. I'm not sure on how high it's sitting and I don't know if it's stock height, maybe.

I have some nitto terra grapplers and I am getting ready for new tires. Should I go with BFG All Terrains or the Goodyear Wrangler DURATRACs? Right now I have some rubbing with my 285/75/16s but I dont want to go smaller because it might look too small. Has anyone else had rubbing issues with a 3" lift and 285/75/16s?

Anyone have a roaring typing noise when coming to a stop?
I got this, but not sure if it is coming from my tires or maybe a wheel bearing or cv joint/diff.???
Im hoping its just the tires... Bc its a brand new truck!

I had a set of duratracs on my jeep before I traded it in for my 2012 Taco. I loved the tires. Not a lot of road noise and they wore evenly. Just have to keep them balanced and rotated. I had about 15,000 to 20,000 miles on them and they still had usable tread left. Worked great in sand and mud. They were a lot better on the road over the MTR that I had prior. I would get them again.

Just bought a new Taco and drove it straight off the lot to the tire shop to get duratracs. I had them on my previous truck (ford ranger which I drove into the ground) and loved them. I got a good trade in on the rugged trails which made the swap to duratracs real easy! Loving them and the new truck so far!

Check out my gallery or sig picture for how they look.

Any update on how many miles you guys are getting on these tires? Ive been hearing nothing but good things about these tires but not a lot of feedback on what can be expected in tread life. I'm sure some of you have racked up the miles by now...:mudding:
