    Thanks.

Very little noise, slight hum on certain roads and on the highway. Got use to it in about 4 minutes.

    No rubbing.

No other pics right now, try to snap some tomorrow.

Allot of people on her have the 16"
Not positive but I think the 17" are more than the 16"

I paid about 1000.00 OTD at Discount Tire. They also had to rebuild my TPMS stems.

I just got my Taco lifted and you guys are really getting me interested in these instead of the KM2's. It's hard to justify it already though considering I only have about 4k miles on my factory Rugged Terrains. :D

Dude that's nice! I was thinking about getting those on my rig. Is that the stock size and rim (265 or 245).

Thinking about scoring these instead of the NTGs like I have now. I have 285/60/18s & the closest size to those in Duratracs is gonna be 275/65/18s....32.1 instead of 31.6 on the NTGs. The 18s were already on the truck when purchased so please, no grief on that, lol...and new rims aren't gonna happen anytime soon either. The DTs will be 1/2" skinnier tread patch, 11" instead of 11.5 & 1 mph off on the speedo @ 60mph. Just concerned about how much more they will rub the plastic fender liner in front of the tire & if it will rub the frame behind the wheels. The NTGs don't touch the frame since the lift but still barely touch the plastic in front of the tires in the wheel well. That's with not much tread left on the NTGs. Still pondering choices but it will be one of these 2.............Got the GY cc so I can score double the rebates if done before the 28th.

Got mine yesterday. $650 installed, balanced, aligned etc at my local Goodyear. Theres also a $20 rebate...so I guess $630 out the door. Oh yeah, sold my Rugged Trails this morning for $300...so all in all the Duratracs cost me $330 ;)

They look even bigger and more badass in person. Love em. Sorry for the poor pics. Ill get better ones once I get the truck and tires washed up etc.

    Just the basics
Ok I think these are now on my list. I'm not sure I really want/need such an agressive tire. I do go off-road occasionally and am planning on doing DV this spring.
With no snow use in my immediate future do you guys think these are gonna be good for us west coasters w/no snow? The only reason I ask is because so many have touted their performance in snow. Thanks!

I know one person that's run load range C, D, and E. He'll tell you that E is way too harsh. I'm running load range D now and here's what I experienced going from the Rugged Trails to a load range D tire. Keep in mine I have an SR5 with softer shocks though. When I hit potholes with the Rugged Trails, it would hit softer but have more rebound (up and down a couple of tires after hitting the pothole). With the BFG AT KO in load range D, that same pothole (yes, I paid attention since I was hitting it regularly:D) was a much harsher impact. However, it was a quick "bump and be done" type of event. There was no more flexing of the sidewall to give me that bouncing rebound. So a quick thunk at the pothole, but no more rebounding afterward. To me, that made for a much smoother ride. So, yes, I would have to say that it's more harsh, but it was a good improvement. Load Range C should be somewhere in between these two examples. I can't imagine how harsh a load range E tire would be...

The biggest concern for me was weight. I would assume the 10 ply would be overkill for a light truck that didn't climb rocks.

I had an 07 Jeep 4 door, put 33" Toyo M/T on the stock 18" rims, I swear they weighed 50-60lbs each (off the rims). It effected the performance right away. The thing never shifter right, when you tried to pass on the freeway it would dump down to first and rev. to 3k rpms.

Unsprung weight (below the springs & suspension) a big factor. Can's imagine driving some of the Buicks and Impala's I see around with 24" rims and rubber band tires., it has to effect the drivetrain.

IN MY OPINION even if you dont need all the functionality of the aggressive tire, but you really like the look of it...go for it! Not everything has to be about functionality. If it was, most of us should probably be driving Prius' or the like. Not to portray tires like an accessory, but different tires give the truck different looks. My truck looks TOTALLY different now with bigger, rounder, more aggressive tires and I love it. Gives it a whole new "stance" if that makes any sense.

Just my opinion, but like I said...if certain tires give your truck the "look and feel" that you want, do it. Tacomas look awesome to start, but there is something far more enjoyable about YOUR Tacoma looking like YOUR Tacoma if you catch my drift.

You scored! I could only get $200 for my new stock tires and paid 220 for each Duratrac tire.
Who did you buy from for future reference?

Honestly, if you off road at all they perform well no matter where you live or what the condition. Check out this review from Off Road Magazine. its a load range D tire on a Ford D 150, but they test it out and had great results.

They are on sale at Goodyear till the end of Feb. I got mine right at my local Goodyear dealership. They beat my local dealerships, Discount Tire, etc.
