LOL Yes sounds like we are in similar needs for similar terrain! :)

I too am shocked at the lack of load C options in the 265/70/16 size. The only option at the OEM size (because I have no want for a lift either and I am very happy with my stock suspension) that I have found is the Hankook Dynapro ATM that makes a load D in LT265/70/16 OEM size. At 48lbs it is not too bad on the weight side (only 6 pounds more than the OEM Kevlars) and I am seriously considering that tire also, along with the Cooper AT3 and BFG KO2 in load E at OEM size. But man I just think load E is overkill for these trucks. If I have too I will go load E at the OEM size because I value the reliability and resistance to punctures over ride quality but it has been a tough sell.

To get a load C it looks like I have to go up one tire size and not sure I want to do that at this point.

Just put a set of P265/70R16 Trailrunners on my 2016 SR. So far they are noticeably quieter than the Firestone Destination LE stock tires with 33k miles on them. Just drove the 6-7 miles home so no other impressions for now.

I have no experience with the other tires on your list but from running mine in the heavy rain and wind we had this afternoon they are strong performers. Quiet as HT tires at highway speeds and they don’t feel like boulders at 34psi. I’m waiting for some experience in snow but so far I’m satisfied.

Thanks for sharing pictures. Even though slotted below the Adventures w/ Kevlar, they just look more aggressive than those.

Any updated reviews on the Trailrunner AT? I’m looking at these for winter use, mostly thinking about snow but also some light off-road use. I will run a summer set of highway tires.

Just finished putting about 20000km on these tires. They definitely have traction on road, they're soft and quiet enough to make highway driving nice on a maxed out suspension. High clay and silt content mud is a big downfall, like most A/T tires. Really depends on use and price point. I'll be looking into some higher load rating tires now that I'm towing and hauling more often, but overall a good experience. Have gotten stuck with them twice, once was a high center that needed a pull, and the other time was in some deep mud climbing a hill. Got out of that one under my own power.

I bought a set of these and put them on my steel wheels. I drove on them in August for about 2 weeks, then put them in my garage until winter (now driving on highway tires until snow comes). I was surprised at how quiet they were for AT tires. I got the set with a higher load rating, so the ride is stiffer on these.

We'll see how they do in the snow--which is why I bought them. Here in Maryland I'll probably mount the tires in mid/late November and take them off as soon as spring comes.

They run decently well in snow, I had them on all of last winter up here in northern Alberta and didn't have any issues

I got those on mine 275/65R18 E rated for over 1 year and like them. On road only.

These tires look tempting, price wise, in the P245-75-R16 size I use. Looking on Tire Rack, they are about $185.00 cheaper per set of four (with a $60.00 rebate) than the Firestone Destination A/T I use. They are very light at 33 lbs. vs 38 lbs. They are .3" narrower and also have 1/32" less tread. They have a higher load capacity and from the numbers, a better UTOG rating. The thing is, they have very few reviews over much less mileage than the Destination A/T. They sure seem like a buy but I wonder how they will last long term compared to the more established tires. I have about 50k on the Firestone with plenty of tread left. I had four Goodyear SR/A tires that lasted less than 20,000 miles on another vehicle. They were just evenly worn out with no warranty coverage or even pro-rating from selling Goodyear dealer. That turned me off on Goodyear for the most part. I guess time will tell on these.

Those look great man, I dig the white letter out too!

I’m leaning towards these for my 4-cyl Taco soon. My Hankooks have been ok but as they wore they started making different sounds at different highway speeds.

Had them, really liked them the 5k miles I had them until I got rid of my Sierra.

They could be more aggressive on the side wall but the tread are deep enough to catch and spin off some mud too. I guess I’m about to sell the stock wheels and the tires and they only ave about 7,500 miles.....can’t find me wheels at 16in that I want. :(

I have put about 2k miles on mine and love them. Recently took the taco to stanislaus national forest (highly recommended) and the tires did fantastic over some gnarly rocks and plenty of dirt. They will see some snow this winter.... 20190826_174727.jpg 20190826_164242.jpg 20190826_165739.jpg

They sucked in the winter, cause they don't have the 3 peak snow designation. Went with Duratracs and couldn't be any happier.

Jut about to wear out my first set of Trailrunners and I will be putting them on again. Not the greatest treadwear but everything else about them is good. For the price and performance they are a billion times better than the crappy Firestone Destinations.

If you live in a severe winter climate area (like Canada eh) then maybe for something with a better snow and ice rating and buy less beer.

I've had the trailrunner AT on mine for about a month now and very impressed with them so far. We'll see how the wear is longer term, but so far the traction, road noise, and look are as good as I could have hoped for considering the price. These suckers were cheaper than anything else on the market. I'd get them again.

What remains to be seen is the winter weather traction. I'll report back once the snow flies..
