These aren't the workhorsed but are pretty beefy for a stock tire I'll keep them until I decide to go to a larger size

What are you guys running for tire pressures with these. The tire shop had them at 38 psi. I dropped them to 36 but they seem to stiff. I’m going to drop down again to 34 tomorrow.

Hey fellas, sorry for the late reply. I’ve put about 12k miles on them and driven them through rain, snowy mountain trails and a snow storm. Never once did I feel traction was an issue. Tread still looks and it doesn’t feel anymore rough than day 1.

I'm a tire addict and have tried about a dozen different tires the past decade or so in every sort of terrain, with the goal of the cheapest price point at the highest performance point.

Sort of like the hot/crazy matrix for women...

I live on the Idaho/Washington border, and make a 3700 mile road trip every winter to the Arizona/Mexico border. I have tested tires in everything from deep clay mud, deep snow, packed snow and ice, to sharp rocks and sand in 100+ degree weather.

Tires tested that I can recall off the top of my head...

    BF Goodrich KOs
    Federal Couragia MT
    Toyo AT
    Cooper ST Maxx
    Cooper AT3
    Cooper Evolution MT
    Milestar Patagonia MT
    Goodyear Wrangler Authority AT
    Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac
    Goodyear Wrangler Ultra Terrain

I love evaluating tires, but am unfortunately done. I have discovered the holy grail of AT tires.

It is the Goodyear Wrangler Ultra Terrain. As far as I know, they are only available through Discount Tire. I paid about $200 per tire for LT285/70R17s a year ago. They are now up to $269 per tire. Way over my price point for 33s, but I will pay the price when this set wears out, they are that good.

Imagine a tire that is 10-ply, mountain snowflake rated, grips nearly as well as a Blizzak snow tire on ice and packed snow, is quiet, doesn't chip on sharp rocks, gets great traction on rocks, handles mud and deep snow amazingly well, handles like a highway tire on dry pavement, doesn't hydroplane in deep standing water, and wears like iron.

Hard to believe, I know. But these tires are amazing! They are also a full 33" height, which is rare.

And just a couple of weeks ago with nearly 10k hard miles on them...

I have lost about an 1/8" of tread or less so far. I can probably go 70k miles on these tires.

These are absolutely better than the Falken Wildpeak AT3, or the BFG KO2. They grip better and wear better. You cannot find a bad review of these tires by someone with an IQ above room temp.

I created a YouTube video of my snow evaluation of them and it is pretty impressive (their performance, not my video. I kinda suck at it, lol).

See if I can revive this thread... really like the look of these, had a set of the Wrangler Trailer Runners on my Xterra and loved them. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on a set of these Workhorse's tomorrow but wanted to check first: I know it's a truck and they're A/T tires so you never buy things for gas mileage blah blah but we gotta be honest it does factor in a bit (especially these days lol). Did you notice any significant decrease in mpgs?

I have had a set of these for about 15K miles now and I don't like them. They have no traction on wet roads and after about 10K miles they started making a lot of road noise. They seem to be wearing fairly good but if you do get a set rotate them every 5K. I don’t off-road so I can’t say how they perform in the mud and snow.

I had them on a 3rd gen 4runner driving in heavy snow in big bear they were great. I have them also on my 3rd gen tacoma and no issues. I drove them also in heavy snow, rain and perform great. My own experience, these are the tires i will buy from now on.

I'm really interested in getting these tires for my stock 21 TRD OR. There isn't a lot of information on them out there, so excuse me for reviving an older thread. I was wondering if your Wrangler Workhorses had white lettering on one sidewall and black on the other. Obviously if so, I assume you had them installed with the white lettering facing in. I much prefer the black lettering, but Discount Tire only seems to be selling the ones with white sidewall lettering. They don't make it clear whether it's white on both sides. Thanks a lot!
