Interesting observation. My OEM Wranglers are starting to do that too. 23K on them and going to be 4 years old.

My next tires will be Pizza Cutters.

Well, we don't have much in the way off road around here. Most everything is asphalt, so maybe thats why i've found them to be fine. There's an awful lot of goodyear tires on vehicles here.

Cost of materials and labor have increased 10 fold. Plus they have made huge investments into there only US plant. Also a lot of tires are still imported from our other plants world wide. All contributing factors. Nothing to do with they were unsure of the tire. They’ve put a lot of time and money into the Wildpeak line.

Most tire plants in the US are unionized. We gotten lot of cost of living adjustments because of the inflation. Over the last 4 years wages in my plant have increased $5/hr, thats an insane amount. Not sure how much material costs and operating costs have increased, however it is almost always passed onto the consumer.

Also like everything else there are shortages. Material shortages and product shortages. Which also play a big factor

Esp when I roll up behind some sports sedan that can't seem to make any use of their gumballs.

For real though, there is a 270* exit ramp on my way home from work, I usually hear a lot of distressed tire noises when i go around it.
