Anyone have google wave yet? Maybe with some spare invites?

Been wanting to try it since I saw the demo video (all 120 f'n minutes of it!), but haven't found anyone with invites.

I thought I saw talk of it on here, but can't find it now... Maybe I'm thinking of google voice? :notsure:

Invites are very, very hard to come by. I've had a wave account for about 3 weeks now and Google still hasn't given me invites to hand out. You're not missing much at the moment, though, there aren't a lot of users (so very little activity) and it's still pretty buggy.

Thanks! PM sent in a minute.

Yeah, I know a lack of users makes it less useful. However, my wife, mother, MIL, and several friends have gmail so I figured this might help us. :D

I don't forsee it having many casual/social uses, but I can see it being at least semi-useful for business.

Hmmmmmm..... From what I saw in their demo video it seemed like it could revolutionize communication.... Real-time translation between languages, live updates, collaboration..... Looked like a LOT of features if you have friends who's first language isn't english, or if you have a bunch of people trying to work together on something. :notsure:

Then again, I also have a google voice account and never use it.

Although, I live by gmail and google calendar. Between the wife's work and school schedules, my on call schedule, bills, school events for 4 girls..... I NEED a calendar to keep track of everything. (Oh, my 2 step daughters have gmail too so chatting with them would be easier.)

Same with me when it comes to Google Voice. Have it, never use it, still not sure how I'd work it into my life. Don't want to have to start giving everybody a new phone number.

As for Google Calendar, I tried, but I just can't get away from the convenience of using the old paper planner. I carry one with me all the time for work, anyways.

Yeah, thing is what would I do with it? Ok, I could have it ring my home and cell, but if I'm not home my wife usually is. So if she answers the home phone it won't reach me. My only thought is to use the number on bills and other things that might generate unwanted calls. That way if they leave a VM it'll be converted to text so I can understand what's being sad AND block/filter them for free.

Or maybe if I had a Droid or BB with unlimited data or wifi to route calls that way. I mainly signed up so I'd have it and figure out a use for it later. :D Especially since Google's known for adding and improving things. lol Something they come up with in the next year or so might make it worth having.

hmmmm.... I don't recall ever seeing an invite section in my account so I don't know who gets invites to hand out or if users even get them.
