I was chasing some exhaust noises on my new to me 2011 dcsb. I tried the vacuum cleaner and soapy water trick. To my surprise virtually all the joints showed a leak.

I dropped the y-pipe and there is lots of rust in the flanges. The gaskets were falling apart.

A new donut gasket and your good to go. Simple job.

Well sorta. Hardware tends to be rusted to crap. Just did a seal on mine on the Y pipe and the seal went because the bolts had rusted away. I replaced both the nut and bolt with stainless. Got the seal on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FWPFADA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . I paid just $7.48 three weeks ago. Showing $12.22 now.

Still a straightforward job. I had to replace one bolt and nut combo due to rust.

Same here, 3 round gaskets and one donut gasket sealed everything up. Had to replace 1 nut bolt combo.

Hey, I need to replace a gasket on drivers side, the bolts/nuts look the same as that picture above. Once the nut is removed, how do you get those bolts out?

They are studs, they are threaded into the flange. I would not bother removing them.

    :rimshot:

My trucks' studs were so rusted they just fell out. The flange was so rusted on each side I didn't trust it to seal up with the new gasket so I put a heavy bead of exhaust sealant in there. So far so good.
