Got my first Tacoma on Saturday - what are the "must do" mods?

Ok was I the only one that expected my SR to have a sunvisor mirror? I got it front the dealership and that’s the first thing I noticed. I know it’s base model… but I still thought I’d get a couple mirrors there.

also depending on your height and how much you drive, look at off brand seat jackers. Makes for more enjoyable rides. And if you go out to your truck a lot in the dark look at puddle lights. I got a set on mine and they’re perfect!

 

First thing I did was put a folding cover on the bed, personal pref but was a must have for me

 

true, been trying to find a bed mat used but getting pretty tough.

 

The bed mat is my number 1 must have.

Also, if you're going to be using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, a 90 degree USB adapter is nice, unless you really want to dig around in the center console to swap the media port location.

 

1,500 miles on it in 7 months. Here's what I've done:

Swing Case tool box in the bed (not entirely thrilled with this one)

rubber thingy that covers the gap between the bed and gate

Other than possibly lifting it 2 inches (torn on this) and possibly adding the tail gate storage thing, I'm done. Very pleased with the results, truck gets a lot of compliments, even my 16 year old daughter likes it. Looking forward to hitting some trails and putting that True Trac to work.

Eh, I added VLED front DRL's/marker/signal lights and the Bulletproof Fabrication tailgate storage too. Only remaining mod that interests me is possibly lifting it 2 inches. 2,267 miles on it since I bought it on September 30th.
