Wanted to bump this for those winter guys. I would love to do this for my 08 Polaris 700 RMK but I feel like it would hang off the back way to far. Its a little over 11 feet total, and with a 6 foot bed... :O

Seconded for details. I am particularly interested in the attachment of the ramps to the deck (is it just holes in the on edge 2x4s(?) or did you attach a pipe hanger to the end of the ramp to run the bar through?) and what material you used for the ramp and deck to run the skis on.

I've had this post bookmarked since last year and just started looking at making it again now that I have the motivation of a fresh 3' of snow here in Minnesota.

    Any details would be great!

Here's my setup. Custom made deck by myself with a Marathon telescopic ramp. I can use the space under the deck to store some gear. My sled is a 2004 Rev renegade 800 with a 144" track.

I recently picked up my summit x 154 from the shop. Didn't want to bother with the trailer so they put it in my short bed with their forklift. the dude asked, "you sure it's going to ride like that?" I told him oh yeah it's only a couple miles up the road(really about 20 miles). Half the sled hanging out the back of the truck, you should have seen the look on people's faces! Made it home fine though, all the weight is in the front right!

My 12' Summit X is going to fit between the wheels wells. 146 x 2.5. Looks like about 23" is going to hang out past the tail gate.
Pretty sure going to need a set of FS airbags to keep thing level. Trial load-up this weekend.

Long bed? If you had airbags it would make a big difference. Mine squated the truck quite a bit with stock springs! it fit inbetween the wheel wells with the skis on the widest setting too. I think skidoos are the only ones that are narrow enough?

    BUMP.

Has anyone done this in the DCSB tacoma? I’ve got an F6 just like that one and ramps. Goes up in a tundra fine, it’l fit in the tacoma if you build something ontop of the wheel wells.

By far the best option now is the standing deck. Super solid, mounts to factory bolts, folds when unloaded.

    https://standingsleddecks.ca/

I finally got one of these after trying a few other options and this is by far the best.

I believe they do, but you would have to get in touch with them for details.

I wish I had a pic of it, but a friend of mine put the bed of his trailer on a turntable. Drive on, drive off.
