I still bottom out with 700-900lb of load when I hit a dip or speed bump; not a big deal though.

That would be my post from a year ago or so..... Thanks for the credit !!! Geez, I would have thought the Toyota would have rectified their "bottoming out" problems once and for all for all newr models by now.... Guess I was wrong.....

As recent as last month, I got a PM from a fellow Tacomaworld member who followed my direction in the above old post, and got the new leaf-springs without any hassle.

I too followed khfactor's advice that was one of the original posts and totally bypassed the dealership and called Toyota Corporate. Within two days I had a call from the dealership in the next town (70 miles away) asking me if I wanted the work done there. He ordered the parts that same day and within one week I had my truck done. Thanks khfactor for the awesome advice

The rear TSB made a world of difference in the look and feel of the truck. Toyota should be doing this on all the Tacoma's....handles much better now. :D

So I dropped the truck off Thursday to get the TSb done. Appointment was at 0800, four hour job should have it back shortly after lunch. No problem. The dealer is 30min from work, so I get back to the office and have a message waiting on my desk from the dealership. Called them back and they said the went to install everything and realized they didn't have all the parts? Now isn't that something you should check when you recieve the parts before calling the costumer and scheduling an appointment? So they said they were missing a rear shock? Now according to the TSB the 08' w/ TRD only requires the leaf springs, right? I asked them and they said it required leaf + shocks...anyways my point, i drove 30min to drop the damn thing off, drove 30min back to work, just to make the trip all over again...and not even get anyhting accomplished. So what would you do...free oil change..ect? Good thing, still getting the TSB...then I can finally put my billie's on that have been waiting patiently in a box in the garage...

got my 09' done today. I requested they don't put on the new shocks because I already have 5100s. They did as I requested and I am pretty happy. The rear was lifted just under 1 inch on my DC. Ride is definately firmer and more planted. I am sure they will settle a little, which I hope they do.
    My dealer rocks.

Thanx to this thread I took a look under my fenderwell and whatdoyouknow,3leaf springs. I was first suspicious when 14 80lbs. sacks of concrete put a big squat on the yota. I wish I would have read this before I baught but to late for that. Has anybody had any luck with the TSB in the northwest. I would like to be able to haul an elk in my truck w/out doing a wheely

What if you already have a lift, for instance the Toytec 2.5ich leveling lift or other? Is it still possible to perform the TSB and if yes, does it do something?

Had TSB done under warranty on my '06 regular cab 4x4 last week. Here's the picks. It added 2.5 inches in the rear.
