Installed some used 5100s in place of my TRD rear shocks. The old shocks have 110k on them and the used 5100s have 37k on them, still feel good and are much better than the old one, and the price was right for them.

Got in an went back to factory isolators and set my 5100s to .85.

Some pictures of the broken isolator, looks like the sharp edge on the eibachs cut it.

Installed 5100s, eibachs and set at 0.85, also installed a new bushing on the passenger side.

I just got my aligned yesterday, the dealer said they couldnt get caster better than this, said it was maxed out. They also said that caster was not a tire wear issue, and the other numbers are in spec.

Just ordered some LR UCAs and I am trying to decide on a set of 1" wheel spacers from BORA or a set of 1.25" spacers from BORA or Spidertrax.

I finally pulled the trigger and got some LR UCAs, and also picked up some BORA 1" Wheel Spacers, sadly I am on travel away from my truck, so they will have to wait until next month to get installed.

I also decided to try the $17 100W Harbor Freight Off Road Lights, they are no set of Hellas, but for $17 who cares, I dont off road a ton, just wanted to try them out. I still need to build a light bar for behind my grill, so these are on the list to get installed.

Finally got it and opened it up to check it out.

I finally got a chance to install my LR UCAs from the GB that I started with Head Strong OffRoad, as well as the BORA 1" Wheel Spacers. Also added a 3/8" spacer to the drivers side, and moved the 1/4" spacer over to the passenger side, just to get that little bit of extra lift I was looking for. Finally I painted and installed a lower milage set of stock LCAs, all of that took me about 8 hrs, including a trip to Lowes for some tools, and a break for lunch, not too bad.

The BORA spacers went on very nicely, I coated the backside of them with High Temp Anti-Seize, hopefully that will prevent them from fuzing to my rotors and drums. Then took them to 82 ft-lbs all around.

I also got a set of lower mileage lug nuts from a TRD Sport, to replace the slightly damaged and annoying TRD OR lug nuts on mine. Funny thing was, the Sport lug nuts where longer than the OR ones I had, weird, but didnt make a difference, and I like them better, they stick out about an extra 1/2", you would have to be looking and give a shit to notice. I am just happy to have lug nuts that are not all buggered up from an improperly used impact...

And the real work got started:

Overall the arms went in very easily, a little bending of the fender got the factory bolts out, and I ended up putting them back in the same way they came out, it wont make a huge difference, but it only took about an extra 15 mins to get them back in the "correct" or "Toyota" way. Torqued everything down and crashed for the night. Now it needs an alignment, the skids need to go back on, and I want to actually drive it. I set the Drivers side LR UCA to +2.0 of Caster and the Passenger side is set to +3.0 of Caster, because the passenger side on mine was maxed out the last time I got it aligned, so I set all of the alignment eccentrics to 0 deg top dead center. Everything got a healthy splash of grease and it should be all set to go.

I also installed the OME carrier baring drop kit, that seems to get rid of some of my drive shaft shutter.

And I also went through an entire can of brake cleaner on my rotors, and boy did a lot of crap fall out. Wet sand it evil shit...

You can see the BORA spacers here:

Installed my cheap 3/8" diff drop kit - it is 2 fender washers, reused the factory bolts, still had sufficient thread engagement, and the skids dont need to be relocated, and nothing is hanging low. It isn't huge, likely wont make a difference, but it makes me feel better...

I also started to install my off road lights - They are not wired up, and they are extremely tightly fitted in there, I dont recommend them because of this...

So I got them wired up, what a pain that was, but not really by any fault of the lights.

SO it got dark and I tried them out, first things first, only one of the lights worked, I tried a few things, and it is just a bad light.

Just the one light, I was about 4ft from my garage door:

    With my headlights on:

Now keep in mind that only one of the lights worked, and the light is behind my grill, and the mesh and letters get in the way. But, didnt really do a ton, since the one like was broken I didn't see the point in driving around with them. They were removed the next day, and returned for a full refund a week later. I currently just have the bracket in there and nothing else. Thinking about a set of Hellas, but not sure if I want to bother, because the grill obstructs them a lot, and I dont want to mount them on the outside, nor do I want to change my grill.

I replace the UCAs with LR UCAs and set them at +2 deg, and I also replaced both of my LCAs with newer stock ones. I did a redneck camber alignment using the top LR UCA ball joints and let them take care of Toe and fine adjustments on the rest.

I just got mine back this is the PRE:

I asked for 3 deg Caster, 0 Camber and 0 Toe
    and the POST:

Not really an issue, but saw that one of my eccentrics was maxed out, Front Camber on the passenger side is maxed out, but the specs look great, and it rides fine so I am not going to worry about it.

I ended up doing this today, not too hard, and used Lucas Red N Tacky, Anti Seize Grease, it is a bit thicker then the Valvaline stuff I had on hand, and I felt this needs something a little thicker. I liked it, and once it was all put back together, the truck no longer has the thud/lurch, and it looked like it needed to be done, my truck has 110k miles and it has likely never been done by the previous owner, and I hadnt done it either, till now.

    D035FD53-F2D5-474A-97F5-5202B7518A0C-128_e65fc023f4fa050fb39598d3ed210b66798cc106.jpg

I smoothed out the blob of grease into the groves, before putting it back together.

I filled the bellows of the boot with grease too.

All back together, I got the factory clamps off ok, but didnt want to bother putting them back on correctly, also have a feeling I will be doing this again.
