gray wire mod for 2nd gen tacomas??

    Yes...it will work. The grey mod was for older Tacoma's and the new generation is the basically the same with the exception of different color wires to locate.

    wow this one looks alot harder than it does for the 1st gen tacomas!!! is there a more simple way?? do you know if it will hurt the rear axle??

    No, it won't hurt the rear axle. The axle in the 4WD is the same as the 2WD. The 2WD is already configured with the grey wire mod because the locker is engaged anytime(below 5MPH). The relay is not difficult to install from what I see and read...you have to have a way to switch the locker on/off.
