    Thanks. :) I worked hard to get the right exposures.

    :thumbsup: I am glad to know that someone benefited from that. I too learned that rather recently. I learned it while reading some forums for farmers in the midwest. Some of them are grease masters with all their farming equipment and the like. The coupler will adjust to fit the many different variations of grease nipples.

    I think so. I have found no zerks anywhere else on the truck. If the truck is 4x4 there are 5 zerks, two on the front drive shaft u-joints, and three on the rear drive shaft u-joints. But prerunners I understand, have sealed u-joints.

    Side topic, I read on a jeep forum, that some heeps can have 25 zerks! :eek:

    Here is a thread that recently discussed sealed u-joints if anyone is interested: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/85584-2wd-u-joints-lubed-life.html

    I have looked more then once and there are NO zert fitting on my prerunner! Any where on the shaft or housing. :eek:

    Very helpful. Didn't know my driveshaft needed grease. I need to start taking better care of my truck...

    Only 4x4s have zerks. I have no idea why that is.:confused:

    Unless you drive in 4-wheel drive all the time, the back will normally take more grease;
    the back is always spinning while the front are part time.
    Its normal to have to pump several times in the back
    even more for the rear driveshaft yoke ( i think its called a yoke )

    Wait, now I'm confused. How do 4x4s have 7 zerks and PreRunners have 0? Does that mean that the only 2 I have are the ones on my UCA's?

    Thanks for letting us know. The owner of the built wrangler? in this forum reports having 25 zerks and he is tired of greasing them :laugh:

    :) The 2nd gen 4x4's have only 5 zerks, all along the drive shafts. Some aftermarket suspensions may have greasable joints, but not the factory Toyota suspension.
